my first WW loaf

Well, I have just pulled my first Wholewoman loaf out of the oven, and it is just beeeeaaauuuutttttiffffulll. I am a bread maker from way back, but I have never made a 100% wholemeal loaf like this one! It must be the combination of freshly milled flour, with the big flakes of bran sifted out, letting the yeast start before adding the bulk of the flour, hand stirring and hand kneading, and slashing the top. It just slid out of the tin. I have never experienced that before! Flour, water, salt, sugar, yeast. So simple. Roll on breakfast. Off to bed now.

(I have all my chest feathers fluffed out. I feel like the little red hen. Hoping to buy some wheat from our neighbour straight off the header at harvest in a couple of months. )
