Body:

Hi i 'm a new english girl- is there anyone from the uk here?
I am 33 had a baby 16 months ago, usual terrible story - induction-epidural-drip- v long 2nd stage- forceps-episiotemy- 8 weeks pp -felt 1st bulge on examination but could not feel it otherwise- everything else ok - gp referred me back to my consultant- said 'fine perfectly normal' that was dec 09- then 3 weeks ago after a really bad round of constipation and a bad cough - i could feel something in me over 1 side and when i stand up and explore its THERE! Lying down its there a litttle but you have to explore to find it- i guess from what i've read thats stage 1 or 2 - not sure if its bladder or what its look s ribbed? very scared- going to get appointment next week with gp.

Could any one shed any light o this pleeeease? I am overweight and i do have an active toddler and i stand up mostly through the day with my job- also have a lung disorder so i cough a lot - so i'm doomed right???? what about more kids????? i am sc upset - cant stop crying...

Hi Doflo

You feel like you will always be like this, or worse, eh?

Well, not necessarily so. It sounds like you have a few health problems. What lung condition do you have? Will you always have it? Your obesity will also be seriously affecting your health too, in many ways. You can start working on your posture, and you may already modified your diet to make constipation a thing of the past. Every woman has it within herself to use Wholewoman techniques to improve her prolapse symptoms.

My first birth was very similar to yours, and I did have some symptoms, but not seriously, after it. My symptoms became much more obvious after my second pregnancy, which was complicated by an very large increase in size in the first three months, which blew my pelvic floor strength, and it never recovered. My third pregnancy did not make it any worse. Then asthma became my companion, and the coughing from that finished off my POPs by the time I was in my late forties.

I lost weight, I fixed the asthma. I found Wholewoman and now my POPs hardly bother me at all. I feel more womanly than I ever have before. I lead an active life.

Can you see yourself following this path, as I did?

I do not know what lengths you are prepared to go to to recover a more normal body weight and shape. I do not know if you can do anything about your lung condition. You can only do what you can do, but you are the only person who can do it.

We can help you with some diet tips, help you learn WW posture, and how to modify the way you use your body to do tasks. We can also answer your questions and encourage you along your journey.

Keep calling back. Looking forward to hearing from you again.
