LS remission

Body:

Has anyone had a physician that has prescribed low dose prednisone to try to put LS into remission? If so, was it successful? Unsuccessful? If LS is not put into remission, do symptoms tend to subside or do they continue to worsen? These are my fears. What are people's experiences I'm wondering?
thanks, debspups

HI debspups,
I'm sorry you haven't had a reply. There aren't that many women here with LS, but those that are seem to be trying alternatives to what modern med has to offer, hence why no one seems to have any knowledge about this. I would think you'd find out more on a classic LS group.
How are you going with the other stuff you've been trying? Any change? it's so hard trying to find the answer for your body, as we realise how complicated this is...but i do have a belief that we can figure these things out...do update us on how you are.

Actually what originally attracted me to this site was Christine's article on LS. I have found the classic LS online groups to be wailing walls, if you will, and not very beneficial for my psyche or my general knowledge. So thanks for your response. I appreciate it. deb

has anyone tried this? I am using it and it does seem to be providing some relief.

also... I have had a complete hysterectomy and therefore have no?hormones. is that true? I have a vivelle patch for estrogen, and now I'm confused if estrogen - the lack of it or having it - is what causes the LS??

Hi Debspups and Roxitronic

I have just tried quite a few of the logical search terms with spelling variations in the Search box, and come up with zero hits. This is not right. We have discussed it at length in previous topics. You should be able to find pages of hits.

I will contact Lanny and ask him to have a look at the indexing of the Forums. We have had this problem in the past after a software change (which we have just had). Hopefully it will all work in a few days. Watch this space.
