update...its been awhile!!

Body:

Some of you may remember me most probaly don't its been a while since I have posted or really even been on the site....
I am now almost 2 1/2 years pp....after the birth I had a 3rd degree cystocele and rectocele....i was very traumatized to say the least. I would say that 99% of the time I have no symptoms! Only when my period comes do I feel really heavy.....I am RUNNING and training for my first race that is coming up in june...and I actually feel much better POP wise when I stay active. I do my best to watch my posture while walking and running and most of all I keep to a diet of high fiber and drink mainly water...no other beverages. I hope this gives someone some hope that after time it WILL get better. I was actually wanting to train for a half marathon this year and feel very confident that my body can handle it but I am a few days late on my period!! So could be baby number 3 on the way...if that is the case I will be on this forum a ton getting my birth plan figured out. I will plan on doing things A LOT different this time around.
God bless
Amanda

I remember you, Amanda, great to have you back!

Liv

That's great news! So glad you are feeling great and are keeping active. The update is much appreciated and will give newer pp members so much hope!

Take care and keep us posted about the news!

No baby this time...my period just decided to come 5 days late! Not sure why??

sure I remember you! fabulous that you are back to running, good for you!!!!!
dont know why your periods late, but sounds like youre ready for another baby : )

Glad to hear from you! You "arrived" here about when I did, I think. Doesn't all our initial sadness and panic seem so silly now? Look how great life really is, even with pop! I'm so happy you are leading such an active life (I remember when you thought you might have to quit your job, and now you run races!!!) good luck with the next baby whenever that happens -- I've taken the plunge for number two (18 weeks now) and feel amazing! Keep us posted now & again!

Glad to hear you are feeling great pregnant after prolapse...I am alittle nervous at having another one I have to admit but I am trusting my body more and atleast trying to keep from causing more harm! I am sure another baby will not make anything worse in the long run. I remember when I thought I would never work again...I felt so disabled, but as it turned out going back to work a few hours a week did me a lot of good. I felt stronger and that was when I took a turn for the better it seems. Could have been because I felt better mentally and wasnt thinking so much about it or could be because I was making myself be more active. Either way I do look back and feel silly for being so frightened of prolapse. It is tough to wrap your mind around but you just adapt and move on eventually. I am so glad for this site! I hope new mothers out there will stay as positive as they can about it because that is a big factor in the healing process as well:)
Amanda

bad mirror I'm so happy for you! I can't believe you are already 18 weeks!! time really flies by!

...and I haven't had a chance to say WAYTOGOAMANDA!!!! :)

Ran my first 5k last weekend!!
Probaly will be doing some less strenuous exercises over the summer though...we just offically started trying for our 3rd baby:) Hoping for a girl this time, of course it doesn't really matter just healthy.
Will be using a midwife this time around hoping it doesn't take us long to get this going:) Hope everyone is doing well will let you all know when we get a positive!

Isn't it amazing what a woman's body can do? Hope we hear from you again soon!

Wow, you rock, congratulations! Can't wait to hear about your BFP! :)

Liv

I'm always in awe of women who run. I wish I could, hurts my knees.
but how AWESOME was it? good for you!!!
and lots of luck trying for number three...I'm thinking pink for ya!
three is so great, I mean two kids are great, but add a third and there's a whole 'nother dimension to the sibling relationship. and three wasnt appreciably harder than having two.
will be waiting to hear the good news : )

Well it happened the first time! we are pregnant... 8 weeks to be exact! Lots of morning sickness and constipation:( having to really watch my diet these days. Other than lots of bladder pressur not any worse for wear on the prolapse as far as I can tell. Feeling nervous already for the delivery this will be the first fully unmedicated one!

so excited for you, luvmiboyz!
watch the diet as best you can, once the ms passes it will get easier.
this fully unmedicated birth will be AWESOME

thank you!! Now what does ms stand for!? I bet its something obvious haha

morning sickness.
and congratulations from me too!
so excited for you.
drink tons of water and up your magnesium and vitamin c- you won't be constipated at all!

Joining the line of well wishers here -- how fabulous! Don't be nervous for your birth. It will be amazing and empowering! Get your 70 grams of protein a day to help with the morning sickness (helps keep your blood sugar from diving, which can cause the ms) and I second the vitamin c and magnesium for constipation. So happy for you!!

LOL! Enjoy. :-)

thank you for the great advice!

Congratulations, Amanda! It's such a joy to see our growing community of pregnant and postpartum mommies. Thanks for believing in the WW work! The others have given sage advice, so I'll just send lots of love and best wishes for an energized pregnancy and beautiful birth. :)

Wow, that was fast! :D Congratulations!
