So much for the tampon idea!

Body:

Wow. That was terrifying just now! LOL. I TRIED the tampon. What I feared, happened. Possibly because I did not properly identify which thing was the uterus. Or maybe I did and the tampon slid by. I think it's more likely I pushed the wrong area. Since I couldn't see, I just slid the tampon in, best I could. Felt ok. Slooowly. Then I looked. DANG.

I think BUT am not sue, that Nicki was NEXT TO the tampon!!! LOL Dat! Was in securely, BUT...there she was - with the tampon ABOVE HER.

Ya know I am beginning to think prolapse happens, women don't know, put in a tampon, can't get it out because the uterus is next to it, start yanking and THINK that's what caused it but really that's what ALERTED them to it. (me).

I realized o boy this is going to be hard to get out now! And I thought about leaving it in, BUT, I figured it might be pressure on Nicki, so operation get the misfired tampon out. Ug I was soooooooo nervous to pull!!

Tried eveything I could think of. Finally thought, o man if a baby has gone thru there I guess I can get my fingers, tampon and nicki all in therea at once. So................eventually, I coaxed it out. I was supe worried Nicki would come out ! And wow, I have to say that somehow it was such a sucktion . Hard to get out . But I was GENTLE. Felt like the need to yank, but um, no.

At that point I was like a whole nother person and gave Nicki a bit of a shove up there to he own apartment. Tired of her vagrancy. : )

So we shall see what happens now. Do not think i have the couage to try a sponge after that! So,um I'm waiting on my presser. : (

How long do you wait for it until it arrives?????

Before I knew I had prolapse I had the "symptom" of the tampon only becoming red at the lower part, where the string attached. I was confused for a while but now of course know that it was being placed beside the uterus, not below it. You're not alone with the removal problem either. Usually if it is too dry that creates the "suction" so a little lube might have helped. If it hurts to pull, using a finger(s) to "break" the suction is the right thing - you did good. :)

I had tried the tampons- bought all cotton ones but the friction from the uterus when walking was too much even with KY lubricant-

Now am waiting for sores and infection caused by surgically placed and removed mesh ( i have some of my uterus left)before I get a pessary which I hope together with awareness of bowel/bladder functions and nite time removal and maybe special occasion usage to make the pessary work for me as an effort with foreign material surgically placed in my body has been indeed a disappointment. PS I have some good friends who rite now are just living with what sounds like my condition - Acceptance is their forte.
