Fab news that the yoga DVD is ready to ship. I've just placed my order and can't wait to get started when it arrives.

Pre-prolapse - I used to love my yoga classes and using a yoga DVD at home. But a disastrous class since getting my prolapse left me very nervous about trying again - so I've been waiting patiently for the Whole Woman Yoga DVD.

Well done to Christine and the team and thankyou for all your hard work in getting this completed.

Dear Christine,

Congratulations!

This is wonderful news and the cover of the dvd is beautiful!

Will forward your news to other Yoga instructors, and will of course be ordering a copy for myself.

Thank you very much for taking the time to make yoga compatible for women :)

Hugs and Best Wishes,

Oceanblue ♥

I am so sorry that our shopping cart is not working properly. We are working on the problem and it will be in order by noon today.

Thank you so much Florence and Oceanblue!

Like all my "stuff", this dvd is packed with health information. I began explaining the inflammatory process and will continue on the subject with the next two or three in the series. We had planned to do one yoga dvd and when I got into the work, it was looking like the video would be eight hours long - lol. So this is why there will be a series.

This one is about balance. I tried to emphasize how very important strong and flexible hips, knees and feet are, and the exercises are geared to that end. All must maximize pelvic organ support as well, so I've included lots of beneficial pelvic exercise. Speaking of...this yoga is not intended to be performed in front of a street window with the public walking by, but rather in the privacy of your own homes.

I am extremely hopeful that the yoga community will see WWY as a positive addition to the practice, rather than as competition.

♥ Christine

Sounds awesome, Christine! Can't wait to see the DVD. I seem to become a yoga person, and really need useful advices about particular asanas. Now I do what feels best but maybe it is not enough, my goal is not just prevent more damage but become strong and flexible in my body. You give me hope!

Liv

Please support WW and order Whole Woman Yoga!! :)

Hi Christine,

I e mailed you the other day when I ordered the dvd, but again I must say how deeply happy I am that you have begun production of all these yoga dvd's. I find that my twice weekly yoga class-- gentle yoga- helps my prolapse symptoms quite a lot. Also, I have begun avoiding poses that I know are not good for prolapse, but I need/want to learn much more. Is warrior pose or any lunge type movement dangerous for prolapse?

Anyway, I am full of hope and happiness about the dvd's and am definitely sharing all of this with my yoga instructor. She is so good about supporting us individually, and I know she will add this wisdom into her classes.

Thank you!!

Christine,
Thank you so much for making this DVD. I am here for preventative reasons, and I think ALL women should know about your techniques. I am excited to "safely" learn about Yoga.

SHIPPING ERROR:
For those that had a shipping error, when you go back to re-order, if you still have an error, despite the site being fixed, delete the item from your cart, close the webpage and start over. Worked for me! :)

thanks for sharing the tip. it's useful to know that web browsers don't update themselves automatically. if something has changed on the site, your browser won't know that unless you "refresh" the page so it can go back to the web server and download everything again. you can do a quick refresh on windows with ctrl-r or on a mac with command-r. (for the technically challenged, that means holding down the control key and then the r key while the control key is still held down - or command key on the mac.)

love to get feedback from you all regarding the Whole Woman Yoga™ DVD!

Dear Wholewomanfolk

I was delighted to find the new DVD in my mail the other day. After a very busy week I have at last had the chance to watch it.

It is *wonderful*, and the setting of it, out in your New Mexico wilderness, is just breathtaking.

The introduction is very thought-provoking, and makes a lot of sense.

When I think Yoga, I think lots of poses which are impossible to remember, let alone to fold myself into. These exercises look soooo simple, though I think they could require quite a lot of concentration for beginners, and for me too.

I just love all the modifications for those who are not able to do the full extent of the poses.

Well done to all the people who played a part in the making of it. You deserve to be proud of yourselves and your products.

Louise

Ohhh...I'm so happy to hear this. Everyone I've shown it to has given it two thumbs up.

I hope you will do the little routine on a regular basis, as it really helps to reinforce balance, strength and flexibility within the WW postural framework. Each in this series will build on the information of the last...the second wheel containing information on hormones and the inflammation cascade. It will be focused on the lower belly and I'm working on a surprise exercise for that!

Most importantly, let's hope the yoga community accepts the WW work. My plan is to be able to refer women with prolapse and incontinence to WW certified teachers in yoga studios around the world. Prolapse is not a medical condition!

Thanks, Louise!

Christine

Christine, I think doing it in steps is a very good move. You learn it step by step, just like learning to dance, rather than being thrown in at the deep end and trying to learn it all at once, which can be a bit daunting. As I get older (I think) I am finding it more difficult to learn new things and fix them in my mind. Maybe it is just because I am learning so many new things, and the 'learning new things' bit of my brain is overloaded?

What does everyone else think of learning it wheel by wheel?

WWY is awesome! :D
Christine, can I do the practive during my period?

Liv

Hi Christine,

I've been trying to find reviews on the yoga DVD cause I'm not familiar enough with yoga to understand the wheel concept so some of the concepts have helped. Along with all my other issues I just found out I have the beginnings of Rheumatoid Arthritis. The good news is that it is throwing me into knowing I HAVE to get seriously serious about this body again. Will the yoga also help prolapse, though, along with being overall good for us? I got the old lady tape and its nice. The first one is hard for me with chondromalasia in my right knee.

The other question is when does the 2nd come out? I have the inflammation cascade going on.... But sounds like I need the first anyway first. Right? Thank you so much for all you do! You're a pioneer and a brave woman! I was proud to see the statements you make so boldly to the medical community. I tell everyone who will listen about your site. (Including medical personnel =) I've never listened to Doctors wholeheartedly because I started out as a Medical Assistant working with a Wholistic D.O. and his naturopath wife but have always thought east should meet west. I take tons of natural supplements, herbs, etc., but am afraid I also need medications which aren't doing me any favors in the long haul but which I need to be able to function.

Anyway - taking the plunge. I'll get the response after already ordering the DVD, but wondered if these questions could be answered. Looking forward to #2!!! Thank you so much!!!!!

Hi Lauren,

It’s nice to hear from you, although I’m sorry to hear of your ongoing health issues!

I love the workout program on the yoga dvd. I don’t think we’ve had a lukewarm review yet - and several positive ones. It’s my most effective program for prolapse yet, imho. ;) I’m not sure what your limitations are - this one has a lesser challenging mat program and a tougher baton program.

I’m working on the script for WWY2 as we speak...my guess is it will be August 15th or so before it’s ready. There will be a ton of information included because the second “wheel” involves the ovaries. I’m trying to tell a basic story of the inflammatory response, which does continue in this second dvd. It’s more informational than prescriptive, hoping to give women a general idea of the process so they have some idea how the “creation/destruction cycle” works in the body.

Sending lots of healing thoughts your way, Lauren!

:) Christine
