When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!

Hi mishek I am also new. Struggling with how to work in this web site(not great on the computer). Have you had a surgery? I've had hysterectomy. Will the book and DVD help me? Sorry I don't have any experience to help you. Just try to stay strong and hopeful. I think this site will help us do that. I feel pretty alone right now. Take care.

Hi, Mishek. I cannot even
Hi, Mishek.
I cannot even believe I am about to get this graphic and personal....lol.......but....
I had the same problem ...loose...as in to the point I as shyly asking the doctor what the heck is up with that?? lol But guess what? My looseness has become TIGHTNESS.
I have been SHOCKED by that. I had been so worried before! It's to the point that on this very site I thought I was FEELING something inside - but I then figured out, wait, that isn't something - that is a GRIP! LOL I've actually somehow gone back to that feeling when I was young! Pre-kids. Thick, solid, tight. I used to feel so loose that going swimming was kind-a miserable, because it felt like water was going in and nothing I could do about it!
Now if I were to insert a finger it would feel like the finger's being grabbed.
But here's the thing - I do not know how or why that happened!! As I said I as shocked at the difference.
So the only thing I can do is tell you the things that I did when discovering my prolapse. And maybe something in what I did will resonate with you. Because although I do not know THE thing that made THAT better, I do know I am WAY healthier in many ways - and this tightness/sturdiness/ almost thin effective muscularity has somehow happened.
I started swimming fairly recently with my normal trepidation about the looseness - and WOW - NOTHING- It was just like being a kid again. Everything very intact, healthy feeling.
So what I can do is list the things I happened to do - and maybe Christine or someone can pick out what might be right or wrong about it. I kept VERY accurate records of what I did starting with the moment I realized that something was very wrong. (Noticed my u "right there"). The tightness, is hugely different from how it's been ever since I had babies. So why the big, sudden change now? MAYBE one or several of the following is a contributing reason?
1 For about a month I took gluconsonate (sp?)
2 I drink less.
3 I WAY DECREASED the amount of oil I take. I realized I take vitamin e, cod liver oil or fish oil, lecithin, flax seed oil - and that I am a person who puts olive oil on salad, etc. One day it occured to me after prolapse that ANY object with a lot of oil becomes slippery, HEAVY, WEIGHTED, and is kind-a dead weight. Hmmm....So I made mental note. And stopped all such oil supplements immediately. TWO DAYS during the past 7 or 8 months I ACCIDENTALLY took an oil supplement. Both times, the next day, my uterus fell WAY down. I made mental note and have cut out all oil substitutes. And I have only a pat or two of butter a day. I drink a small glass of whole or 2 percent milk. I have maybe one slice of cheese, tops. In other words, I get oil but very significantly less than before. Did it help? I don't know. But coincidentally or not, I got better. (The down side is it may have contributed to my being constipated, but I figured it out eventually and whatever I am doing now, that part of things is completely fixed - and without laxatives, though for a few days that got me into balance. Specifically Cascada Saragada or however you say that. I took it for like five days and everything's ok again).
2 I did not do kegels for the first month. And I never have. Always felt guilty. Then reading here felt better for not having done them. After one month I started do to about FIVE kegels a day. Slow. I did that for about two weeks .Now I don't even think about it. BUT I was taking chromium piccolinate (another thing that can make u constipated so be careful. I took only a small part of one of the smallest tablets and with a glass of water) in small amount for about a week. I have noticed that when you do exercise AND take piccolinate the muscle builds IMMEDIATELY. It REALLY builds muscle. I took it while doing the kegels for those two weeks then stopped. I did this very calculatingly because I KNOW how effective it is in muscle building WHERE YOU NEED it. Be careful if you are doing some weird excercise (or even driving a lot! If you take chromium while on a long car trip you will actually build a weird tiny muscle on your right calf from just pushing the pedal!! It's that seriously a muscle builder. And I dont' care what anyone says I know this to be true about chromium). So I figured if I take it and do kegels it WILL build muscle. Question was, is it GOOD to have muscle where you build muscle when doing kegels. That's why I experimented only so briefly. I wasn't sure it was a good thing to do! But I figured it would do SOMETHING.
3 I cut significantly down on drinking by Fab's suggestion. And now only have about three eight glasses of water, but that is spread throughout the day not in eight oz amounts. I dont' let my bladder get full at one time. I slow pace drinking now. And i try to drink separate from a meal, well, I try. : )
4 I swim a little, I walk a little but not too often. At the slightest feeling of ache or heaviness I stop. So I would guess I go about 20 to 30 min now and I include some uphill if I like.

No more gnocci??
HI Mishek
What? Never eat gnocci again?? You are kidding! Of course you can. A little bit of what you fancy will do you good. As long as you don't eat too much gnocci, and that you balance up the binding foods with other foods that will help keep your digestive system working smoothly you should be fine. This means more fruit and vegetables and whole grain cereals, nuts and seeds (like flax and chia which have a mucilage coating that absorbs water and swells, keeping your bowel motions soft) and plenty of water for the fibre to dissolve into.
Of course, to fit these foods into your diet means that you have to eat less of other foods or you will blow out the kilojoules of your diet, and simply overload your system with food. It is all a matter of balance.
If you have a meal which you know will bind you up, just get back to eating sensibly for the next couple of days to get that balance. One meal isn't going to seize up your whole system like concrete. Even if you miss emptying your bowels one day, don't worry, as long as your overall diet is bowel friendly, your bowel will keep working, and empty itself.

fruit and veges
Hi Mishek
You don't mention fruit and veg. They really need to be a very large part of your diet. Raw nuts and seeds are both rich in protein and in fats. Vegetables are are the source of complex carbohydrates, minerals, vitamins, fibre, some protein and *C_O_L_O_U_R* and *F_L_A_V_O_U_R* to savoury foods. Fruits the same, but with more sugar (usually).
If you google "balanced diet triangle" in Google Images you will get a variety of different graphical representations of a balanced diet. The differ in minor ways, but have a look at the general thrust of what they are saying (except the really loony ones).
There are other sources of these mucilage-type 'stool improvers'. Psyllium husk is the one in Metamucil (much cheaper and no additives or sugar or artificial sweetener). You can incorporate them into a bolognese sauce. You can also incorporate other vegetables as a puree into bolognese and other sauces, or use commercial vegetable juices like V8. No need for stock in many recipes. Just double the vegetables and puree half if your family is likely to complain about all the vegetable matter on their plates. There is a lot of water in veges.

Loose feeling in vagina
Good to hear from you Nature Girl - no i haven't had any surgery and in answer to your Q you would fall into the post surgery catergory i would think. You will be able to find your way around the forums if you keep at it. Yes and most of us are probably feeling alone especially if you don't know anyone in a simmilar position as most women are reluctant to talk about it.
Sending you kind thoughts

Yes Louise, i only mentioned
Yes Louise, i only mentioned the flax and chia because they are the only items i have not tried. i have a very good balanced diet and have always been health concious including lots of raw foods ,nuts, legumes, friut and veg. I have tried psyllium husks but not in cooking (great idea) means i can indulge a little more in foods that can be otherwise binding, so will surely keep that in mind.Thankyou for this info - i will look up" balanced diet triangle"
Cheers

Good to hear of your
Good to hear of your experiences and the more i read of what others have bravely endured the more i realise that what i'm going through is simmilar to what most other people have had to sustain before arriving at more joyful times and i guess that's a normal part of having pop.
Thankyou.
