Whole Woman Phone System blues

Body:

Hi all,

Our phone system has died. Kaput. Sayonara. DOA.

So if you've been trying to reach us by phone, last night or most of today, you probably got a busy signal. Now you'll get a nice recording provided by our phone company explaining that we're having "technical difficulties".

But there is light at the end of the tunnel. Our system at about eight years old was a bit creaky and becoming unreliable and the guy who has worked on it for us during those eight years has gone out of business.

They say change is the only constant, and here we go again. Our shiny new PBX will be here in the morning and by tomorrow night, we should be fully operational again. Which is not to say we won't be telling people, "This is a new phone system and I'm not sure how to ______ (fill in the blank)."

Aside from the fact this expense was not in our budget, when the dust settles, we should have more effective and reliable telecommunications for the foreseeable future, which is a good thing.

So thanks, once again to all you lovely ladies for your support and patience with us as we at Whole Woman carry on with our transformation of women's healthcare.

Best wishes,
Lanny (Christine's DH and 24/7 tech support).

Telecommunications. What we do in Wholewoman is only possible because of it. Sadly, its great strength is also its great weakness.

Hey, you'll get over it. Think of the peace that happens in the space where the phone is usually ringing or in use!

Make the most of it. Tomorrow is a new day. I hope it is a well- timed and useful tax strategy.;-)

Om ...

Got the new PBX installed and mostly functional. By the end of the week we should be fully restored, once Dinah gets back and can record all our outgoing voicemail messages in her charming British accent.

Thanks for everyone's patience.

Lanny
