wholewoman first, then pessary, surgery as last resort

Body:

Hello -

I've read numerous posts that women with pop should try wholewoman method first, then pessary, then surgery. I'm curious as to why the pessary can't work in combination with the wholewoman method?

Any thoughts?

Marric

Hi Marric

Good question. I think women would rather not use a pessary if they had a different option. For me, I found a pessary more trouble than it was worth, when I first used one about 17 years ago. These days I find that Wholewoman techniques do the trick without a pessary and its shortcomings. Why would I want to use one? I think there are many women in our community who use pessary and WW techniques. There is nothing illegal or cheating about using both.

If it works, and you find it comfortable, then do it.

:-)

My thoughts exactly Louise. I have never tried one and would never want to. I think we can get relief from the WW techniques and top of the list WW posture works really well, so i wouldn't put myself through all the discomfort and stress which i know a pessary would cause me. That's just how i feel. Not only that but the thought of having a foreign object inside of me would totally freak me out. I hope i'm not speaking out of turn here as there maybe some post surgery women who need to have one. i don't know much about that side of things, but this is just my view on the subject. I think that if you're confortable with it, then go for it!
