When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

what you eat.
Of course what you eat has an effect. Constipation and straining against the toilet are the number one enemy. By keeping your intestinal system moving along you are preventing extra bulk in your abdomen, making more room for your organs to move around and find their most comfortable spot. You are not actively pushing them out by making it too crowded in there.
Lots of vegetables, fruit, whole grains, nuts and seeds (which have good oils). Get enough protein. Keep meat to 10-20% max of the plate. Share that steak with a couple of other people or take it home for cold meet for the next week. Skip sugary foods and anything processed or refined. These are good guidelines. Look at a few versions of the dietary triangle.

what you eat
Hi, I was just reading Louise's response to you. If this is true that keeping your stools soft and easy to eliminate will help you, then I would try putting trace minerals in your water daily. I put them in all day long. It is a great way to get magnesium and all your trace minerals. Magnesium calms the body. I give it to my daughter when she has cramping during menstruation. She was skeptical at first, but now swears by it. It will help you eliminate more often and much easier. I get mine at Wholefoods, but I am sure you can get it online as well. Some people pay a lot of money for Mineral water. I make my own. Good Health to you.

You Are What You Eat
There is a British show called You Are What You Eat and you are right Louise.I eat lots of vegetables ,nuts and seeds,rice and beans.Wholemeal bread and porridge is great too.I have some oily fish as well but otherwise i am almost vegetarian.

maybe tension...
It must be something else with me than food, as I generally eat almost the same, but have days with no pain (like yesterday) and days with the pain (like today)...
Cannot figure it out. Maybe it is due to the tension?
When the pain comes back I feel defeated, I also start thinking, maybe there is something more serious going on?

tension ... stress ... anxiety ... they are all part of the same family. I think you are right that for you it is a major factor. The state of the bowel and many other parts of the boyd is affected by all of them, eg neck and shoulder pain.
I can remember as a child having unexplained gut cramps. I am pretty sure I was constipated for a lot of my childhood. These pains would come and go, but I remember they didn't happen when I was entirely happy and relaxed. It was when something was amiss, or not quite right. Maybe it is the same for you?

About Pain
Louiseds is right as tension can cause pain if you are stressed but i get pain some days too but i ignore it and try exercise or i put my feet up and it will go away in the end.If you had surgery just imagine the pain would never end .Well i can't really say i suppose but i won't think about surgery at all.

tension...
When I was on my Xmas break I had almost no pain and my BMs were just twice a day. I was also more patient with them, giving myself enough time...
I am back at work and again my intestines work "over-time"...
So I see that firstly it seems to be an effect of an autonomic nervous system over-stimulation on my body. I also have other signs, such as tingling nerve in one of my eyes...
Secondly, my muscles are more tight; even if I try hard not to be "a soldier", my body automatically gets tense...
I have the feeling that when I am more tense the stool gets trapped in a pouch, my anal muscles are too contracted and I have problems with relaxing them...
Also, I have some nerve "entrapment" (I think), due to my muscles contraction...
I was also thinking about that maybe microwave has some impact on digestion. I never use microwave at home and I feel much better...
I am almost back to normal eating (hurrah!). Haven't tried spinach yet, but soon I will have more time to go the an organic shop. i do respond badly to vegetables from a supermarket...
Cleo, when I am not at work it is easier for me to manage this pain and ignore it. I try to do exercises every day, and also I have my mini-breaks at work when I lie down on a floor- this really helps...
Unfortunately, I will be with no work in one week, but back home. I will survive for 1, 2 months hopefully...
Interestingly, now when I have problems with my pelvic area I get less migraines...
