New here!

Body:

Hi Wonderful Women,

(Is this the place to introduce myself I wonder..)
I've just been diagnosed with a mild bladder prolapse. I've been hovering around this forum and just wanted to give a big thank-you to all the women here for all the help and wise words you have unknowingly given me. I'm so grateful to have discovered Christine's book.
I'm 21, and have felt my prolapse slowly worsening since I gave birth to my son 3 years go. I think it's more that I've finally stopped to listen to my body! Feeling a little bit devastated.
Also a little overwhelmed with all this information that I feel like I have to learn Right Now!
But I'm trying to take it slowly, step by step . I've been coming on and searching past posts whenever I have a question I need answered. It's been great. I don't feel so helpless!
I'm waiting for my copy of Christine's Yoga DVD, which I hope will help. For now I'm trying to be conscious of my posture and breath as I go about my day.
So hello from Perth, Australia! I have a feeling I'll be stopping by this forum alot now! (I know there are other Australians here, Who is going to start our own Whole Woman centre? :P)

Well I must say I am rather envious, because as soon as Loiuse returns from the Whole Woman conference just finished in the US you will have a qualified teacher not too far from you in York, WA.
A big hello from Melbourne, from me.
Glad you are benefitting from the the wonderful community here. There is hope here.

(On the home page click on "whole woman centre" tab and you will see a space to CLICK to find a WW Teacher near you.)

I checked it out and there is indeed a teacher not too far away! It's great to know. I have read many replies by Louise to people's posts and have gained much from her already!

I am now back from the Conference in Albuquerque, and still feeling a bit jetlagged, but will be thinking more clearly soon (I hope).

Yes, mild prolapse seems to be par for the course when you have had a baby, but hopefully you will be able to keep it mild, now you are on the way to getting your head around managing it by using your body in more prolapse friendly ways, and looking after your body in more prolapse-friendly ways.

I have you on my list of locals and will be in touch with you when I have all the business side of my practice up and running, hopefully 1 July, for the start of the new financial year. Lots to do.

Meanwhile, hang out here and learn from other women. Search the Forums for any topics that are bothering you, and keep posting your questions.
