Boc Choy for constipation

Body:

This may be helpful. I bought some Boc Choy and had it raw with a salad. I cut off the green leaves and just used the white stem. This I cut in half, lengthwise and gave half to my husband and half to myself. The next day my husband had several bowl movements but for me , who is always constipated, it didn't make any difference. Just thought it was worth a mention as it may help others.

... try the green bits. :-)

All leafy vegetables will help with constipation. They are powerhouses of vitamins and minerals which will help your body to function better in many different ways. They are low in fat and sugar, high in fibre, antioxidants and water. You cannot go wrong, eating as many servings a day as possible, but don't eat so much that you leave out the other vegetables and fruit, and some protein.

After spending three weeks in the USA and seeing how little vegetables were available to me as a diner I was so glad to get back home and get back to my normal high fruit and veg diet. My body thanked me in the normal way. ;-)
