Pledge for Christine

Body:

I don't often post, but I check the Forum every single day. I recently read Christine's post about pledges for her upcoming research and book regarding Hip health. I plan on pledging, and I just wanted to remind those who are also in a financial position to make a pledge. Christine's work and help (as you know) has helped hundreds of us with our POP problems, etc. I also wanted to say that Christine has also taken the time to answer and provide information on this forum to so many of us for years. It just seems fitting that we all give her the "payback" for all of her support. I am sure that her new book will not only give all of us POP gals some good info we can use, but it will also be useful for our daughters, grand-daughters and friends as well. Thank you, Christine, for all you do. Looking forward to the new book. Jerseygal

Well said, thanks Jerseygal for posting. I can't think of anything more important than this work. - Surviving

I am glad you posted this....I only thought about it. I made my pledge within moments of the email newsletter and am very excited for her and for us !!! Yes, everybody, make the pledge that you can!

Thank you with all my heart Jerseygal and to all the others who have contributed!

Whole Woman is about so much more than POP. A rather Frankensteinian aspect to our medical system has developed over the years from threads of male ego (there were no female orthopedic surgeons in the beginning - and very few now!), greed and general misunderstanding of the human body as a whole organism.

I believe this is a fact, yet, it does not discount the true skill and courage it has taken to surgically treat many people - many, many children - with severe skeletal deformities from birth defects and trauma. The problem, once again, is that radical surgery has been applied to common disorders of the hip joint.

Let me see what I can come up with. This is the most exciting project I've ever embarked on - partly because we are working on it together.

Love from Christine

Happy to donate but want to use Paypal ... however the link says pay by Paypal - but then directs me to Paypal Sandbox only.
I Googled Sandbox and it says "The PayPal sandbox allows you to process transactions on your website, without the official exchange of money. This is the best way for PayPal users to test purchases on their online store, prior to going live."

Thanks, Takecare...I will have Lan look at the problem (he just walked out the door to a meeting). Thanks!

I used PP and did not have any problems. - S60

For those who would like to mail in a donation is there an address for donations? There are so many women that Christine has enlightened that I believe this is a cause worthy of monetary support so that Christine's work can continue and grow.
Thanks..

When you go to the donations page, there is an option to pay by a check. I don't know what happens when you click that, if further instructions come up. If not, I would think you can just use the address of the Center (see "Contact Us" tab above).

Folks, when you see what you are getting in return for your donation, this is a no-brainer. I mean, is there anyone on here who is NOT planning on getting themselves a copy of this book when it comes out? Just my two cents..... - Surviving
