Body:

So I went to see my family Dr yesterday as a follow up to blood work to check my hormone levels that he said would not tell me much.
Here is what he said and I quote: " your fsh level suggests not peri, not pre, but POST menopause."

WHAT??

I just had the Merina Iud put in 4 months ago for heavy flow.....................

He is suggesting that it is just the fibroids bleeding........... hysterectomy or obilation. He asked me why I wouldn't consider a hysto? Most women are running in to have them done! GEEEEEEzuz help me. Of course thats what they're doing, their not given any other options!
I put my hand on his shoulder and told him that I want to go completely intact if at all possible. I have no desire to mess with my uterus or have a hysterectomy.
Then I told him I had been studying the condition and about this web site.
He acquiesced with "its your body and your choice". Gee thanks.

So that's where I'm at. Still waiting for an appointment with the gyno too.

On a VERY HAPPY note, I got my new book and DVD!!!! YEY

Might not be around much for a few days while I have a look at this info.

Thanks to all you lovely ladies, and Lanny!

Take Care!

Honestly, I don't think I could go back to a doctor who had made such an absurd statement about hysterectomy. He is the epitome of what's wrong with the universe. This shows why women have to educate themselves, before it's too late. Doctors will keep doing these things to women as long as women keep showing up to have these things done to them! Are you expecting better from your gyno? How much of the book can you absorb before that appointment? No time to lose! - Surviving

You are so awesome! Good for you for educating your family doctor.....I so love that....put your hand on his shoulder and tell him yes, you want to remain intact. The sad thing is, he won't begin to see it from your (or the womans) perspective or maybe even learn something from this. Glad you got your bundle....it is indeed very exciting to get it and to realize there is hope in such a natural way. Best wishes to you dear lovely prolapse2012.
