When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!

Won't get sick
It certainly sounds like your uterus. No you won't get sick. The uterus is one tough lady. And she is not gross. She just wants to see what it is like on the outside for a change. You will need to discuss that with her. Push her up back past your pubic bones, get into WW posture, don't let her rub too much and get your vulva too dry, use some lubricant if she does. Walk girl and stop worrying, its doable.
best wishes, Fab

Hi Cinder60. I've read back
Hi Cinder60. I've read back over your past entries, where numerous members have tried to help you with Whole Woman posture in spite of your back issues. Were you ever able to get into any semblance of WW posture? Do you have an understanding of what it is?
You've been living with a cystocele for awhile, but it doesn't seem like you have taken any measures to keep things from getting worse. Now you have a uterine prolapse. Everything is connected in there. Let us know how you're doing, what you've tried, what works and what doesn't. Lots of information given to you in the past, but no feedback from you. - Surviving

Hi Surviving
I have worked on the posture, without a lot of success. However, I have changed my lifestyle when it comes to food. Much more water, veggies and fiber every day. I do try to walk every day, at least a half mile to a mile. Overall, I have been coping pretty well. This past weekend however, I had a table at a craft fair and was on my feet for 9 hours a day for two days. Also didn't eat or drink right. Then my daughter was gone and so I had to clean horse stalls and in the process really hurt my back. Everything just came tumbling down. I tried so hard to correct everything for the past three days and last night I couldn't even go to the bathroom. I got out the mirror and really freaked. When I went to the doctor today he just said I needed to go to an OBGYN and would probably need a hysterictamy (sp). From this website I know that isn't necessarily true. He also said I probably have the beginning of a bladder infection, not a lot of bacteria, but more than normal and gave me some pills. I think I will wait to take them because I don't want to kill off the good bacteria.
Anyway this has gotten really long, sorry. Thanks for letting me know that the DR. is probably right about what it is and that I probably won't bleed to death over night! Sorry, just scared, like a lot of other people that have been on here. I was feeling really good about just the bladder. We had become kind of like friends, so maybe this will work out too. THANKS.

hey cinders
If the bacteria is a urinary tract infection take the antibiotics if those are the pills your doctor gave you, and take them all. You need to act quickly on a UTI and it's possible you may need a repeat dose of antibiotics to finally rid yourself of it. There are further implications if you do not treat it. Not to panic you, but it does not necessarily remain a light matter. Just make sure you eat a good (no sugar) yoghurt and a course of probiotics to replace the good flora that the antibiotics may take out.

cervix prolapse
Hi cinder60,
Yes certainly sounds like uterine prolapse. I was diagnosed with a uterine prolapse about 1 1/2 years ago, so can empathise with the feeling upset about exposed cervix. The good news is the WW posture and exercises as well as healthy diet, awareness around the importance of not being constipated and elimination techniques and happy healthy lifestyle, (ie total life-style review and over-haul!) - will almost undoubtedly improve your symptoms so that you can lead a normal, healthy, happy life.
If you do the WW posture and if possible follow the dvd's/do WW exercises, then this will undoubtedly help. You may also find you develop your own little coping strategies or things that help. E.g I've heard many women say a few minutes of fire-breathing a day, or a few forward bends, or a few of Christine's 'alternative kegels' exercises.... really help to support their pelvic organs in the right place &/or reduce their symptoms.
I find on 'bad days' that doing say 3 forward bends and then staying 3 breaths in forward bend, then if necessary pushing my cervix up for good measure and going into and staying in WW posture - really helps.
You'll find out for yourself what does and does not help you. Basically - do more of what hepls and less of what doesn't!
The pelvic organs are somewhat mobile so the good news is that displaced pelvic organs can be replaced pelvic organs.
Good luck! xwholewomanuk

peeking at your cervix?
Hello,
It sounds like you had a scare. Obviously, the cervix is supposed to stay inside. But I can say that now that mine doesn't necessarily want to stay inside, nothing scary has happened except a bladder infection which can happen to anyone...so I would agree to take those pills! The cervix is not delicate, mine has had some honey smoothed on it and it gets KY Silk-E every night when I tuck it in. My Gyn used to say that it feels like a tiny nose! Try to keep your sense of humor about it and love it as part of your anatomy. The cervix is friendly, not scary. When you are pregnant and getting ready to have the baby the diameter of the cervix is what they measure to see how dilated you are when you are getting close to labor. You may have to wear a thin pad if there is a slight discharge - I would guess this is, when the uterus is in its normal position, some of the self-cleaning that keeps the vagina clean. My GYN says that if it is slightly tan or tinged with pink that is from getting rubbed against your cystocele...I have that also. At night before the KY a warm washcloth is cleansing and feels good. Keep your bladder empty by peeing is two different positions each time...you may have to tuck your cervix up inside to get the flow going if necessary. You should be firm with your doctor that you are going to live with it for a while as many others are doing unless she says there are some other complications. Good luck to you.

Thanks everyone for your great advice
I did get in to see my OBGYN and she was very supportive and not at all in favor of any type of surgery unless as a very last resort. She advised pretty much what Permalink just said and also that the cervix would tend to create a type of calus (sp) that would protect it. I have found that when sitting I am able to keep my posture and everything stays up where it belongs. Stress is a big no-no and left over gas from eating is also bad. Unfortunately since my gallbladder surgery a year ago, gas has become a major issue. However, the main thing is that I am much more relieved about everything and now feel that it is doable. Evenings tend to still be a problem, but life goes on. Thanks again to everyone for your great support. I know I wouldn't have made it thru the five days I had to wait to see the Dr. without you. Especially when my MD said I needed immediate surgery. So much for his wisdom! Have a great holiday season.

Great follow up, Cinder,
Great follow up, Cinder, thanks for letting us know. Mental state is so important in dealing with all of this. Keep working on that posture, learn good firebreathing techniques, and take it one day at a time. The best to you - Surviving
