New to prolapse and very confused.

Body:

I am 34 years old with 3 children. I am not big on going to the dr's so I put off my exams and usually go with 3 years between each exam. About 4 months ago, i started experiencing really bad cramps and clotting during my periods and when I had to pee, i had to go immediately or it would just come out? I have never had a problem holding my pee, but all of a sudden I couldn't hold it. I got up in the middle of the night to pee and didn't even make it to the bathroom. I was in tears and so embarrassed. I couldn't go in the car for 15 minutes without having to stop and go. It was ridiculous. So I just went to the dr's on Tuesday and told her what was going on and when she started my exam she was having a very hard time finding my cervix because my bladder was in my vaginal area. I looked at her cross eyed. What does that mean, how did that happen? So I am going for an ultra sound tomorrow for more details. I am very upset and don't even know what to think about this, my emotions are going crazy. All I can keep saying to myself is how did this happen? When did it happen. I was fine 4 months ago. I am very healthy, very active in the gym, great diet. Am I silly for being so upset? I know this isn't life ending, but i don't want to insert something into my vagina for the next 30 years. I haven't been to the gym since Tuesday. I am very afraid of making it worse.

Welcome to this site. So you have more tests tomorrow that should solidify a bit of what is going on for you. You will know more then. Yes, it is very frightening. And we have all asked why me and how did this happen. Lets see what tomorrow brings, but in the mean time you can educate yourself quite well right here on this site. Browse the resources tab and read all that you can. You will want to look at the posture. Since you are active and working out, ask yourself what you do there....do you pull your tummy muscles in and tuck your tailbone? We do not want to do that....those are contributing factors to POP. You want to soften those tummy muscles, lift up your chest, crown of the head upward and breathe into your tummy. That posture (which takes time to make your own) will eventually bring good results. This allows for the pelvic organs to find their way back to the front abdominal wall where they belong. This is the real beginning for all of us as women. Honor your lumbar curve, as that is what this posture does. Today you can gently try all of this. Tomorrow when you know more, you will have a better idea of what you are really dealing with and you will get wonderful guidance and feedback from these lovely ladies here. Best wishes to you!
