cloudy urine

Body:

Hi,
I'm pretty concerned about my cloudy urine. At first glance, I thought it would go away because it was something I ate. Then, when it did not, I started the internet research. Since I had started taking a new vitamin pill, I quit taking those because some vitamins can cause cloudy urine. After two vitamin-less days and one lab test that took my urine sample and discovered that there were no bacteria in it, I am more confused. What is it? Does anyone else with a cervical prolapse and a cystocele have this problem? Please respond.

I know little about this. Have had cloudy urine on occasion, not very often to go into it, but it can be resulting from the presence of pus from a UTI (which you have already checked out and had discounted), the presence of crystals of salts from uric acid http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uric_acid
or from phosphoric acid. I haven't found anything worth citing on this. You may have already checked these out.

Hopefully, someone knows a little more. Have you put it in the search box. Now I am in here I don't dare go there or I may lose what I have typed here. I'm not very good at navigation.

Cheers, Fab

Hi Fab,
I've been all over the internet and did fine one chain of comments here.... I will check out the crystals of salt. Good old wikipedia!
Thanks.
Discouraged

At home with cloudy urine after four days or so with no physician to see, I took a urine sample in for testing and went to taking some cypro as I had some on hand for emergencies. You may remember I have been hospitalized twice with UTI's and I was sure I was getting another one. My general practitioner called me on Mondaya to say to go ahead and finish the 5 day course of Cypro but that in fact I did not have a bladder or UTI as the sample showed no bacteria. He said cloudy urine can be normal in older women. Huh. Anyway the cypro did clear it up but I am done now and I guess I just won't fret about it anymore. It did clear up my urine but who cares anyhow if it is normal? Thanks for the input, I just wanted to follow up.

it turned out okay, and you checked it through. It's best not to ignore these things.
