Saved from surgery

Body:

Back in January 2012 I was scheduled for surgery to "fix what was going on, with the least (minimally-invasive) procedure. I had made all the arrangements. My husband had taken a week of vacation from work. Then, I went to a yoga class that I had been attending. I had previously told my instructor about my condition. I asked her if she had any special knowledge, or if someone else in her field knew anything. I missed the next class.
Then, the Saturday before my scheduled surgery I decided to attend one more class. My instructor was pleased to see me. She came right up to me and handed me a paper with different web sites, etc.
After the class I went home and entered "Wholewoman.com". It truly saved my life. Actually, God saved my life by intervening.
I ordered the book and devoured it. I am managing my prolapse. I have learned so much and am a big proponent of this work. Thank you!
I have even considered becoming a WW Practicioner. Right now, though, money is the issue.

Hi Navymom!
Wow! That's amazing! I do believe God intervened! Thank you for sharing your experience. I would like to go to the Whole Woman Conference; but I'm not able to attend this one.
I'm hoping, if it all works well, I will be able to attend the next one. I'm so thankful to God I found Whole Woman website also! :)

Thanks navymom for posting! So glad you went to class that day! I love this story because, though many of us were considering surgery when we found WW, not everyone had such a close call as you did. Truly something that was meant to happen. I hope that some day you can fulfill your desire to become a practitioner. The network is growing slowly but surely....saving women one at a time! - Surviving

I appreciate seeing sincere thanks to God included in your posts. This has been the answer to many women's prayers. Whether we realize it or not, God is always good to us.

I second Bebe on her comment. It seems as though the thought of God is declining in our society, even though God is always there. Pregnancy and prolapse have been two of the hardest things I have ever done, but I have gained more knowledge about my body and my self than I ever have. Without a knowledge of my Heavenly Father, as well as the blessing of finding Whole Woman/FAFP I fear to think where my prolapse could have led me. Lucky for me I don't have to think about that.

He did say in the beginning to go forth and multiply and fill the earth! What many women have seen as a curse is our greatest blessing....the experience of giving birth....in order for us to know how he feels about us as we labor together with him in coming to be born of his spirit. He's not just there - he's here!

most of the contributors to this forum do live in secular societies, and value them as such, as societies in which atheists alongside religious people of different denominations lovingly tolerate each other and offer each other the freedom to live in the most liberated society that we can generously offer each other.

Why would you want to inadvertently or deliberately alienate women from our site because they do not believe in god or the particular god that you favour? And if you think that saying that god seems to be left out of the equation nowadays does not offend or alienate other women then you are not being realistic.

Christine has generously and lovingly offered her findings for the benefit of all women regardless of race, class or belief and I really think that this should be honoured with due deference to her and your fellow women by not demanding that they attribute thanks to a deity that you think is due such thanks, and which they themselves may find otherwise.

My gratitude goes to the women who contribute to this site especially from the women who entrust us with their personal problem to the lovely ladies who rejoin with their own experience and solutions to the wonderful ladies who are the main pins of this site and finally and most especially to Christine and her family. I thank you all everyday.

Best wishes, Fab

Yes, Fab, we all have the individual freedom not to talk about or thank God. Apparently, though, throughout society there is no freedom to talk about or thank God. That's inequality. If we have gratitude to one another for sharing our experiences and solutions, why shouldn't some of us who find God to be part of our experience and solution share that with each other as well? Reasonable people aren't offended because someone does or doesn't 'believe' like they do. You said yourself that we live in a society where atheists and religionists should lovingly tolerate each other. Have you ever wondered why atheists and religionists agree together to stop the mouths of true believers? I know what this website is about.....women in trouble who need helpful friends. We are more than the sum of our parts.

Label this argumentative and tell me goodbye. But maybe one person who reads this will THINK!

If God saved any of us from prolapse surgery, he did so by creating Christine Kent. Thank you, Christine and the Whole Woman family. We don't need to have a religious debate on this forum, unless there are people who actually want to. I'm pretty sure the divine intervention navymom was referring to, was the fact that she went to one more yoga class right before her surgery. - Surviving

...a little humor there. No one can ever gauge another person's "inner world", or level of spirituality. One person's God is another's Higher Self.

This is a "bring your own God" kinda place and I so hope we can respect that.

Goddang I love this site and you women!

I've searched "God" here and found 49 pages of references, mostly giving thanks, some even citing the Bible, one in particular a thread of prayer for Alemama to which God evidently listened?? So maybe I'm not wrong in my mention of God being here...and perhaps the willingness of some to welcome him. I appreciate your respect toward me in being a peacemaker and hope you recognize that I was only expressing my own thanksgiving and not demanding it of anyone else.

I am truly thankful to God for directing me to Whole Woman as well. Perhaps we will meet at a conference.

Thankfully happy to hear all of the other ladies issues and i can relate to a lot of them.I have another appointment in 2weeks with my doctor to let him know to go ahead with the mesh surgery.I think and feel now I don't want to have it so will cancel my appointment.I should receive the books and dvd's soon and looking forward to all the information. Wish you all well.

Talk about great timing, Honney....!! Wish every woman would give this maintenance a try before they head down the path of no return.

Some women will start this work knowing that surgery is always a possibility that they can hold onto if they change their minds. And that is OK. But I think the best results come to those who have done the research and realized that surgery is risky and damaging and not for them. In this internet age, there is enough information out there for women to make an informed choice. Such was not always the case. We are the lucky ones! - Surviving
