Question about biking

Body:

I have been doing a bit better with my symptoms. The posture, Nauli and Firebreathing every morning and when I use the bathroom I try and do a few moments of Firebreathing just to help maintain POP. I do this only on an empty stomach.
I was wondering about biking....I love to bike and I use to do an 11 mile bike ride. I try not to push it and don't do this for a tighter butt but it helps me feel good and alive....The last few months have been very difficult with my symptoms (burning, pubic bone pain, peeing alot, leeking urine, burning on clitoral area and bottom). I went for testing and nothing was really of major concern for the doctor.
Anyway, I have been feeling a bit better and want to try to bike again but am a bit afraid to undo what I have done so far.
The 11 miles is on road with lots of up hills (mainly slow incline with three large hills) I have a mountain bike not a 10 speed and am wondering if anyone has advice on how to bike in posture? Or if I should try another route because of hills. Sometimes the hills can cause me to move my body forward over the seat. Not sure if this is good for prolapse.
I hope that maybe someone knows if it is ok or that maybe I should not try it.

Go girl. You will soon learn what you can't do. It is possible to ride in Wwposture. I vaguely remember a Utube or something with Christine on a bike. Go on the flat to start with, get the posture right then fly where you will.

I have been biking on a hybrid bike. the position is a forward lean andIi find it a great way to exercise. It seems to improve my symptoms. Where did you see the u-tube of Christine on a bike? I'd love to see it

that looks like it could help with keeping me out of that greater than 90 degree angle. wouldn't that be the key? I think that maybe if the seat were to be raised enough to where the bum, back and head are in alignment and shoulders down I would hope that it would keep in posture.

Have a look around in the search box for stuff on bikes. Just type bike and you will get three pages of posts (including motor bikes!). From just a quick look this thread had some of your questions and answers. https://wholewoman.com/forum/node/3681 Can't find Christine on a bike, I don't think I imagined it. Help someone.

Christine rides a bike briefly towards the end of the first aid for prolapse DVD.

Youtube channel 'wholewomaninc', I think.

I have an absolutely beautiful road bike but I was just thinking last night how I'm going to have to sell it. There is no way I can ride this bike in my condition. Frankly, even without being in prolapse, I thought road bikes were ridiculously awkward - almost as awkward as playing the violin. I would like to purchase a more upright bike like a hybrid or maybe one of those cruiser types since I'm not planning on entering the Tour de France anytime soon.

Well, this is hopeful to me....but in considering a stationary bike. I have been able to use one in years past when the kids were young and kept my weight down. I could ride an hour a day while they were enthralled with Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers. A few years ago I bought a new one but couldn't bear it with my symptoms. I need to be trying some out and find one that will work for me. It's not like flying down the road, but to me it has been an exercise in peace as well.

Look into replacing the seat. Christine found a seat that has a slit down the middle to accommodate our lady bits. It is very wide too, so the weight is well spread. A quick google of 'female bicycle seat' produced a heap of hits, with some really curvy, female shapes. It's almost enough to make me pull my old rattler out of the shed and give her a new seat and a workout! There are a lot more models available than a few years ago, and not very expensive either!

I don't know where you live but you may want to try something like the LL Bean run around cruiser style ( you can watch a video) with the upright position and you can buy an xlarge extra wide seat from other stores. i'm going to go that route as soon as I sell my road bike. Gosh, I will miss her but I can't even bear the thought of riding her now and I don't think a new seat would make any difference since I have to be so hunched over to ride it.
Also, I haven't looked at the Terry bikes website in a while but she has really good

Thanks, girls. I did find a wide seat for the last one but can't imagine one with a split. I will look.
