When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

There is one type that she calls a "ring with support" which may be something you can Google if you're looking for specific brand names. The idea is that this is one that can be worn without holding the vagina open, which will worsen prolapse. But so much depends on the patience and knowledge of the doctor to fit it just right, and even then, there is certainly no guarantee of success. I wouldn't exactly say that she "recommends" the pessary, only that certain ones are potentially less detrimental than others. If you decide to try it, yes, do be sure and get trained to remove and insert it yourself, and don't let it deter you from working on correct posture, which is the only long-term solution to prolapse management. - Surviving

what did you mean by: If yours is of the type that holds the vagina open, then there is greater chance for eventual worsening caused by the pessary itself.
Which one is this? I have a thin ring pessary, but I live in Europe. Also what is recommended in terms of a natural lubricant? I don't want to use Trimosan gel..& heard oils can break down the silicon & create problems in the vaginal folds, but don't know if it's true
Thank you

I don't know how else to explain it; just re-read this thread and the chapter about pessaries in Christine's book. I have no personal experience with pessaries, only what I have read and learned here, over the past few years. - Surviving

Post Hysterectomy for over 25 /rectocele
Susannah,
I am in my 60s and as of 2 years ago my rectocele progressed to stage 4, not doing any of Christine;s program. I just went for evaluation and the recommendation was try a Pessary, which i am supposed to return to see the surgeon in 4 weeks. In the mean time I am doing research and like your comment about learning to" co-exist" with my organs. Will order her book. so far, I do not have any other problems witht he prolapse, no pain, no incontinence, some frequency with urination and slight burning. I wear a Abdominal V belt, helps some with security. praying and hoping to avoid surgery at all cost!

Hi Seus and welcome,
Hi Seus and welcome,
Lots of great advice about pessaries in this thread, so I wouldn't need to add to that, except to say that we have had women on here with rectocele that haven't been able to keep the pessary to stay in, and I don't know with the added hysterectomy how well it would work for you.
The good thing about you coming at this time is that Christine is going to be coming out with a post hyst video just for women in your situation.
In the meantime, make sure to look around this site and whole woman store for more information about the benefits of whole woman posture for all of us. To relieve some of that burning, a small dab of honey applied vaginally will really help. You can also get down on knees and forearms, and realy breath deeply into your belly to relieve some of that pressure.
