Update on my 2 1/2 months PP POP

Body:

So again it has been a while since my last post. I am now 2 1/2 months pp. My little bundle is the happiest and easiest babe I have had! Being my 4th babe I guess he figured that mom needs lots of sleep so he gives me from 8:30 at night until I wake him at 7:30 in the morning. That way I can nurse him before my husband is home from chores, so we can all eat breakfast together as a family.

So about my POP, it has been up and down, but mostly up. The rectocele is not bothersome at all, my uterus is still low, as well as the bladder, but nothing is bulging out. I am looking forward to starting fire breathing and nauli next week, as I will be 12 weeks (I think) but enough time has gone by I think to start doing those exercises. I am hoping that that will bring the uterus up where it belongs again and the bladder will follow the lead! Even though I get symptomatic occasionally, mostly in the evening of a busier than usual day, but I have learned worrying about it doesn't help at all! If I feel bulgy, a little extra knees and elbows works wonders! I also imagine a string attached to the crown of my head and someone pulls it up to lift my chest, and keep the posture. That way my chin is slightly tucked, and for some reason I relax my stomach easier in that posture then when my chin is lifted. Posture is the key to this, even more so than one can imagine. So I am living well, because life is too precious to lose sleep over a POP. If you had told me I would be writing this when I first discovered it I would have said you were crazy, but it is true! Life is too grand, and when POP rears its ugly head and your world comes crashing down, just know you will pick up the pieces, arrange them again, but in a new fashion, that is POP friendly! So, thanks to you all, I am encouraged by you and still love to read the questions and answers. To the ladies who continually give advice, it is so helpful, even to us readers who post nothing, just know there are lots of silent women out there who need that encouragement all the time! Thanks again!

How beautiful this post is! I am so happy for you. congratulations on your little one. Sounds like life is good. Best wishes and thanks for posting.

Hi agnusdei, how great to from you and congrats on the babe! What a joyful and encouraging post, thanks so much for taking the time to weigh in on post-partum POP. Such an important topic and there is nothing that can ever take the place of hearing it from the source as it is happening! Keep it up and post some more when you can. - Surviving

I am very interested in knowing how to cope with POP during pregnancy, labour and recovery after the baby. It is great to know you have done it and doing well. I know we are all different and of course we have ups and downs but your post has given me hope and makes me feel more positive about possibly having a second baby. Thank you!

Hi agnusdei,
Thank you so much for your post. It's both down to earth and inspirational. Healing is not necessarily the same as full health! wholewomanukx
