Back to work

Body:

Hi everyone,
Posted a few months ago, when I was in shock about having a cystocele. Now I'm back to work, as a kindergarten teacher, and wondering if I can maintain WW posture throughout the day. There are times during the day that I can feel CC (as I lovingly call my cystocele) drop a bit. I have to remind myself to get back into posture and do some deep breathing. I have been quite vocal with my female colleagues about my condition only because I feel like I now have some knowledge they could benefit from...but at the same time it sure would be nice to have someone to share my fears with face to face. It amazes me how many women are writing on this forum, yet I don't know anyone personally who is going through this. I was thinking it would be nice to form local support groups and maybe get together to share and support each other. I for one would love to know with certainty that I'm doing my WW posture correctly as well as my fire breathing. Any thoughts? In Michigan.

Hi Unwelcome

Hopefully there will be someone in Michigan who will respond to your call. Currently we are unable to contact each other directly via the Forums. If anyone wants to personally get in touch with Unwelcome, email me, Louise at wholewoman.com. I will email Unwelcome and see if she is willing to correspond with you.

Unwelcome, take a look at the Practitioners page on this site and see if you could get to any of the Whole woman practitioners for a personal consultation.

Hi Unwelcome. The question of whether you can maintain posture throughout the day, is one you will answer over time. The longer you do this, the easier it gets. Eventually it will be second nature, but even then you will always have to watch yourself when bending, lifting, driving.....at least that is my experience and I have been here 3-1/2 years.

Given the stats on prolapse, you can be sure that you have plenty of company whether you know it or not. You have been vocal and that is great. Keep it up. Look around you and you'll see scads of prolapsed women who won't talk about it. - Surviving

Thanks Louise.
