Hello =)

Body:

I am 6 weeks postpartum with my 4th child, 36 yrs old, and have what I would consider a severe prolapse. I can't figure out if it's just my uterus or my bladder as well that's fallen, but I have a bulge completely blocking my vagina and extremely concentrated urine that leaks out in minimal amounts throughout the day. My OB isn't concerned and is going to look at it in May at my annual to see if it's gone back up.

My biggest concerns are 1) sex 2) a trip to Disney World in 2 weeks 3) how this effects any future pregnancies 4) what this posture thing is I keep seeing.

Any links/help you can give would be most appreciated. I ordered this exercise called Organs in Place by Theresa Tapp that is supposed to be helpful as well.

Hi luvfam and welcome. I don't know T-Tapp but I did find this thread where our trained practitioner in the UK cautions against it. I checked it out on-line and it does seem to emphasize the same "core" work that is so very bad for prolapse.

More later, just wanted to get this out there for you. Best place to get started on this site is to go over to the Resources page, look for Videos, and watch the first video on the page. It is a 20-minute overview of Whole Woman. The first half is basically an explanation of prolapse and all the reasons not to have surgery. The second half gets into the posture principles. Check it out. - Surviving
