pregnant with prolapse and twins

Body:

Hi everyone! You might remember me from awhile back being very freaked out about becoming pregnant with a prolapse, maybe 10 or so months ago. Well, now here we are, pregnant with twins! I am 10 weeks along, and they are fraternal. I was taking the drug Clomid for fertility issues.

My worry is, my prolapse at 10 weeks pregnant is still pretty noticeable. When I sit down on the toilet, I can still see my cervix. This terrifies me.. because I feel like how can those babies remain okay when my cervix is sticking out? it doesnt seem safe. The doctor gave me a pessary to wear, but it did not work at all. Every time i sat down to pee (which is about every half hour) it would just fall out and it became too painful to keep putting in several times a day.

My doctor tells me there is nothing to worry about, but I just dont see how when the organ holding my babies is partially hanging out of me. I am really scared and want to do every safe measure to keep the babies safe.

She also said I could have intercourse, but I am too afraid to do that, also. On a normal basis, I will bleed a little. So I am scared of bleeding with the twins. The prolapsed uterus just has me scared on so many levels.

Does anyone have any opinions or experience or advice on this matter?

Hi SAC - First things first. I looked back on your posts of 7 months ago and I see you were given lots of suggestions about learning WW posture, but no indications from you as to whether or not you have tried this. Can you update us on how you have been managing your prolapses since then? And then we'll talk about your pregnancy. Thanks - Surviving

Hello SAC, I'm so sorry to here your going through this. Have you asked your Doc to try a bigger pessary. I'm currently pregnant and also have a cervix prolapse. I have been given a pessary as well as my gyn said there is not much we can do now as I'm pregnant. I have tried watching Chistines clips as well on you tube which I'm also tryine to practice. This can really be a frustrating moment ofcos as I also used to feel that my little one is not safe. Once again, congratulations hun

Please go back and read the responses you got to your original question 7 months ago:

Kiko, Louise and Granolamom all gave you excellent info about how the uterus moved forward during the pregnancy and, in Gmom's case, more or less stayed put after that. She did not use a pessary.

These woman have been doing this work a long time. You may have missed your golden opportunity to get started before this pregnancy, and it will be a challenge now with two more babes on the way! But it is something you must do for yourself. - Surviving
