2 months pp with questions

Body:

Hi ladies, I am new to WW but I thought I could ask for some input.
I noticed my cystoce two weeks post partum and since then I have been working on WW posture and some exercises. I started out as a grade one but it seems like every week I get just a little bit worse. At this time I am pretty sure I am a grade two. It is just slightly disconcerting having your insides attempting to become your outsides. I am wondering how long it might take for WW techniques to help? Did any of you experience things getting worse before they got better? I am saving up to buy the dvd's so I am hoping for more techniques soon. I have been to an ob/gyn and a midwife who both said that I should not lift anything and the prolapse should be a lot better by 12 weeks. Is this anybody else's experience? Any information would be great.
THANKS

Jldeo - Hi and welcome,
While some of the world sleeps, I will try to reassure you that it does take some time for the post partum body to heal. Check out the YouTube channel (wholewomaninc) to get yourself started. And there is lots of information on this site and you can use search to find out more.
Hope this helps in the meantime
Best wishes,
Aussie Soul Sister
PS - good advice to take it easy with lifting and that you will see improvement in time.

I agree - it can take up to a couple of years for your body to heal from a birth, so be patient and give yourself time. I recall feeling very bulgy after both my babies, but I had never heard of prolapse and was not one to poke around down there. A good deal of PP prolapse resolves on its own. But there is much you can do to keep it from coming back later in life, as it did with me and many of the members here. Do check around the site and find out about Whole Woman posture work - now is an excellent time to start. Restoring and maintaining lumbar curvature is the key to getting those wayward organs back where they belong, not crammed into the vagina but held forward in the relaxed lower belly, as they were in pregnancy.
