Correct sitting position

Body:

Thank you for your helpful replies. I now know what to order. Because I live in Australia the Whole Woman order will most likely take a couple of weeks. I wanted to know how to sit on a seat with the proper posture, and how to lift correctly. I do sit a lot and need to start correct positioning now...especially in the car. I don't want to wait another two weeks until I receive the order. Also Fire Breathing seems to be important. I followed the links to YouTube but could not find an example to help me. Can anyone quickly explain as I am eager to begin straight away. ...and Thank You in advance.

Hi Raphaella... I am still an early learner too.. my package took 1 week to arrive and I am on sunshine coast in qld... try the search at top left.. with term sitting position.. no doubt there will be lots of info there also there is a little section I do on internet... at the end of destination prolapse intro which you can fast forward to end after listening I find a segment comes up after that.. all the best

Yes firebreathing is important, but you are best to hold off on that until you have pictures and/or a demo. In the meantime, concentrate on the posture elements and on breathing through the belly, not the chest. Then you will be in good shape to learn firebreathing. It was tricky at first, for me.

Sitting posture is the same as standing....the goal is to protect lumbar curvature and keep the belly soft and chest lifted. Don't let your spine collapse into a soft chair. Different chairs make this easier or harder.

There is such a wealth of information on the forum, blog, resources page and Youtube channel - plenty to keep you working in the right direction until your stuff arrives. Good luck! - Surviving

Hi, yes you're right WW posture is an essential factor of pop relief and treatment. Good seated posture is basically a truncated form of standing, so your upper body is held in the same way. You want your feet to be flat on the ground, avoid crossing one leg over the other. You basically keep the WW posture whenever possible, e.g. when cycling, running, jumping, walking, sitting, lifting… After a while it becomes second nature. However for some people it takes a little while to gain muscle strength in order to do so. Take your time. You've got the rest of your life to practice this on a day by day, moment by moment basis..
Good luck, xwholewomanuk
