When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!

I was naughty during
I was naughty during Christmas too. You really do notice the difference when you have been eating so well and then fall off the wagon. There definetly is more inflammation when eating those bad foods. Just keep working on it wise owl, you'll get it back under control again.
And, I have definetly noticed how all that affects the prolapse too, before, during, and after. I just pick my self up and work a little harder to get back on track, and I have noticed that the longer I have done this, the shorter the time period it takes to get the prolapse back in order too, a definite plus to doing this work for sure!

I think I also am still suffering from moving furniture the other day. Pushing and pulling are the only things that trigger my prolapse pain, that is since I started the WW program, an increase in exercise usually helps me right back to pain free but I 'm still having with trouble with bowel movements, feeling incomplete emptying, having to splint, I know its my own fault and it only improves with me eating the correct foods, sometimes we are our own worst friend! Too much sugar, white flour and dairy are my enemies, too bad I can't remember that, sometimes the call of a shortbread cookie is stronger than my will power, Thank you so much for the encouragement!

My downfall was my mom's fudge and divinity! Lol!
When I was was still in my first year of this work and doing really well, I became arrogant and lifted some 50 pound bags of pea gravel. Needless to say, my prolapse presented itself immediately. I learned from that not to lift heavy things anymore, I knew better. I also learned that set backs don't last forever, you just need to work a little harder at times. Nothing wrong with that.

yum!
that sounds like a deal breaker for certain, fudge, yum! I think my recotcel is causing me more trouble now because I have a colonoscope coming u in 14 days and I am uptight because I have hurt myself pushing and pulling this stupid couch, I'm worry that I won't clean out properly, I need to go do the exercise on my knees with fore arms down and sway these hips of mine, it ALWAYS relaxes me, all over, lol, thankfully the surgeon that's doing my colonoscope said he agrees with no surgeries for recotocele, he seems a kind gentle man, I still felt to shy with him to tell him my concerns of the clean out, I will be so glad when this is over, I have to follow a low fat diet because when I was in the accident that resulted in my vision loss I also suffered some internal injuries that pushed my stomach up into my diaphragm, thats why I am having a endoscope and colonoscope, I just recently stated having abdominal troubles, I have been diagnosed with silent Gerd, it has damaged my esophagus, I never even knew! I had terrible throat and stomach pain in November and could not get in to a doctor until January, apparently I have had this silent gerd since the accident, its a goodthing I do not drink alcohol or smoke or eat a lot of spicy foods or I would have been very sick, any way thats why I am having the scopes, they are checking for damage, and also colonoscopes are normal for over fifty here in Canada, a base line if there has been a history of bowel cancer in ones family. Sorry long explanation, I am long winded tonight, I have been curious as to what other eat everyday to avoid troubles with rectocel.

So sorry to hear of your
So sorry to hear of your accident. Silent gerd is actually more prolific than people really know, more so from bad diet and excess weight. That sucks that you have it from an accident. Hope you get better.
I know surviving has made some comments in the past about her diet and rectocele, but can't remember where that is. She can come on and tell you her opinion on that.
I generally think that whatever keeps the stool moving through your system smoothly is good, and that can be different for each of us.
Wish you the best with that colonoscopie, will be thinking of you.

I learned more about gerd in the last two days than I eve wish too know, lol, but yes , its very prevelant, I carry an extra 10 maybe 15 pounds but he said isn't interfering with the gerd, and I have never been a big night time eater, the ultra sound showed scar tissue fro internal injuries in the area of concern and of course the surgery to repair my Cesarian section scar, it burst open in the accident, on the inside , under the skin, goodness, don't we have our troubles, lol, but I have always felt that I need to do everything I can to help myself, I need to know my own body and not rely on a stranger to know whats always best for me. Not that I don't accept my doctors advice but in some instances we should follow our gut , lol, literally in my case, lol, we need to be proactive! And stay away from too much goodies, and too much laziness.lol, at least thats for me!

Dear Wise Owl, my own
Dear Wise Owl, my own experince is, that when I start eating and behaving not according to whole women techniques I immediately feel worsening of my symptoms. But to tell you the truth I do so only sometimes. After worsening when I strictly take all Christine's advice on lifestyles, I improve again. I have been dealing with a bad (stage 2-3) rectocele but after practicing the whole women posture (Istarted it about 2 years ago) and attitude I can controll my body, I can heal myself even after having setbacks for some reasons. And theese fantastic WW work helped me immensely with all my symptoms. I live a happy, full life without fears of the future. I am far from being an expert in WW but I want you to know, that with WW you you can heal and recover, and
be very determined to keep doing this work!

Diet and rectocele
I wish I were more of an expert on this subject. If I ate a very healthy diet, with only occasional lapses, I would have a better idea of what affected my rectocele directly. But sadly, I have "lapses" virtually every day of my life. This will change at some point, when I'm eating basically just the food my husband prepares. But right now, I am too much on my own for dinner, because of my caregiving duties, and I'm literally too tired and lazy at the end of the day not to just take the easy way out for dinner. - Surviving

so true.
I think the one thing I have learned is tomorrow is truly another day, if we mess up we should never kick ourselves, just turn the page and try to do better, thats all I can do, life gets in the way with perfect plans but as long as we do well 80 percent of the time, I think we are doing well, You sound like you have your hands full at the moment, very busy, and I understand completely what you mean, sometimes we just need to eat, and not over think it, we just need to eat what ever is handy is what we eat, and I don't think I really know for sure what gives me trouble in the food department, I know fiber and water are the most important and exercise, so they are my main stays, its not a perfect world and neither are we, just day by day, I am so glad to have found you all here, its such a comfort.

Diet & rectocele
Hi wise owl,
So sorry to read about what you are dealing with. I have to choose foods which help rectocele management as a priority over many of the fad diets of today.
If you don't already, try drinking more water wise owl and keep a diary if you are having trouble so you can track what does work and doesn't. As for exercise do some walking and I think that will really help with elimination.
You could maybe elevate your mattress a little at the head... do some research on this as this may help alleviate the problem - Christine has a post somewhere talking about the position of the stomach and esophagus in relation to WWP helping their natural function. Will see if I can find it.
I eat bread, oats, a little milk, prunes, dried apricots stewed, fresh fruit, meat, chicken, fish, good sausages if there is such a thing, eggs, root veg & more veg in general than I ever have, - (my fave is sweet potato), a little coconut oil, a little butter, nuts, a little cheese if I wish. Coffee tastes so awful I was able to give it up recently - just a decaf sometimes - 1 per day max. I drink green, peppermint and a low caffeine tea. I don't take magnesium at this time.
My elimination results can vary but I've learned to observe, and not to worry too much as I work out what works. Our bodies have a way of adjusting too.
To keep me on track with not eating sweet foods, I have an allowance of chips/crisps less than 3% sugar and some 90% cocoa chocolate 2 squares daily if I wish.
Sometimes I munch on more chips but this still has kept me on track over Christmas & when visiting people who have desert I just go and do the washing up. I used to cave in about half way through the visit and eat far too much sweet stuff and suffer the consequences - I managed to hold out this time. I did eat bigger mains.
Having said that I did have one desert of something I had made to see how it turned out - but I am good cook of sweet things so no need to "taste test" anymore - that excuse is gone!
Now if I'm going out or to a gathering with food I take my choc, to have instead of desert...
All the best,
Aussie Soul Sister

Hi Dear wise owl,
Hi Dear wise owl,
My pleasure - so glad I was helpful.
I have found the post by Christine -

When I read it, that just reinforced how beneficial & healing WWP and exercise is to the whole body.
I hope that your injury resolves itself in time & you are not in pain. You could try eating smaller meals more often, remember to chew well -- I am working on changing a habit of eating too fast & not chewing enough...I also try not to have a drink straight after a meal - having a cuppa later or just a few mouthfuls of water at the time.
All the best,

Hey wise owl....I just got a letter from the guy who did my colonoscopy 10 years ago. It said "You are due for your colonoscopy. This is the only notice you will receive." Good, I thought, no need to send my regrets! How is your recovery coming along? - Surviving
