When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!

Hi another chapter,
Hi another chapter,
Honey would be my first choice. Just a dab on the tip of your finger inserted up into the vagina, creates a soft and supple environment in you vagina and surrounding tissues. I have also heard of using coconut oil and even olive oil.
Christine also has a dvd about vaginal and vulva health that you should consider. It explains so much about certain conditions of the vagina and using natural remedies to alleviate them.

Another Chapter, I am
Another Chapter, I am sensitive to everything, as well. However, I do find raw, unfiltered honey (I buy local) and organic coconut oil do not cause me any irritation.

I was wondering about the
I was wondering about the coconut oil and honey :) my concern however is not with daily dryness (I actually stay pretty moist) but just dryness with intercourse. If my prolapse has been on the more bothersome side I am more easily irritated. But even if it is not bothersome I find I am less "slippery" than before menopause, and the more "sticky" lubrication I naturally produce is not all that great for intercourse :( I guess I was really lucky when younger not needing an additional lubricant because when we did try them (um toys--lol) I would get kind of itchy. Now quite frankly I have enough to deal with "down there" and don't want a chemical burn or itch! So, my question now is....will the coconut oil or honey give a "slippery" not "tacky/sticky" feeling? I really want this to go well. Hubby and I have had very little intimacy in this way for almost 2 years due to my hyster and then prolapse. He is so very supportive though...and I feel ready to jump back in finally, but it has been uncomfortable the times we have. Hence, my quest!

You could try the coconut oil
You could try the coconut oil, but Aussie Soul Sister recently posted that she used the honey for lubricant too. But she used a lot more of it than a dab! Maybe she will pop on and talk about it.

another chapter
Hi another chapter,
The reason I persevered with just honey, is that we still use french letters or raincoats as we knew of them in our youth. ( I also hate the commercial stuff).
I didn't wish to risk corrosion by using any oil as even though it maybe overcautious of the condom makers, they don't recommend any oil natural or otherwise.
When we don't need them anymore I will probably use a combination of honey and coconut oil, together or at different times.
So happily I found that honey works well. I do use a bit more than a dab, and not as much as I used the first time! A bit of trial and error is in order!
Any honey that is internal loses its stickiness, & something under the derriere will catch the rush of fluid which isn't sticky. Have a washer to clean fingers and any external honey as that will be sticky.
At first you may notice some stinging at the entrance but don't be alarmed unless you are allergic to honey - my body became used to it.
Have fun,
Aussie Soul Sister

lubricants
We also use coconut oil with great success. I'm pretty sensitive to skin products too, but one that I have found that doesn't irritate me is sylk lubricant. Both of these are slippery rather than tacky.

What type of honey do you
What type of honey do you recommend Aussie Soul Sister (and anyone else using honey for this purpose)? I already have the coconut oil on hand but would like to try the honey too. I already put a jar of coconut oil in the bathroom and told hubby to use the coconut oil on his own instead of me buying that astroglide stuff. He laughed and said no problem! I think I'm actually looking forward to some "sheet time" with my hubby again!!!! Thank you so much for your advise and suggestions :) x

Hi another chapter,
Hi another chapter,
Christine says to use raw local honey. I find mine at my local health food store. It doesn't have to be any fancy expensive honey, but the stuff you get at the grocery store actually has corn syrup in it.

Should local honey be used for lubricant when having intercourse and splinting?

Hello devastated 54,
Hello devastated 54,
Honey is used mainly after menopause.
It helps keep the vagina moist and has other protective qualities.
If anyone is post - menopause, Christine recommends the use of a small dab of local honey, up high in the vagina daily or every 2nd day. For some that would be enough to maintain a moist vagina.
During the transition to menopause, I was using a bit of honey instead of coconut oil as I didn't want to risk corrosion of condoms, and I don't like the commercial lubricants.
Now that I don't need condoms anymore, coconut oil for any extra lubrication for me will be fine, if I need some.
Read the rest of the comments above and you will get more information.
Hope this helps,
Aussie Soul Sister

I am interested in the honey treatment and started on it about a week ago for vulva dryness . So far I haven't noticed any difference . Could anyone tell me how long it usually takes to take effect .

Hi pauline89,
Hi pauline89,
You may want to check into Christine's DVD The Whole Woman Way to Vaginal Vulva Health. She explains all things and remedies for vaginal health. Do you insert the honey up into you vagina? If placed up inside it can help to feed the natural lactobacilli there which will eventually make everything softer and healthier. You can also use coconut or olive oil in conjunction to keep things from feeling too dry in the meantime.
I couldn't say how long it would take for you to start feeling the affects. My mom uses the honey and it helped her almost immediately. Maybe everyone is different in this.
