Awake, thou wintry earth

Body:

Last night where I live, it snowed yet again. I long for warmer days and this poem really spoke to me this morning:

Awake, thou wintry earth-
Fling off thy sadness!
Fair vernal flowers, laugh forth
Your ancient gladness!

-Thomas Blackburn, "An Easter Hymn"

Surviving60 I like knowing that you enjoyed the poem...and Everhopeful, I'm touched it cheered you up.

My sense of humor is all over the place (just like my pelvic organs...bada bump) so I gladly groan and giggle at puns, POP related and other :-)
