Pregnancy Safe WW workouts and posture

Body:

Hi There,

I am currently 25 weeks pregnant with my second child and have suffered from bladder and rectal prolapse since 4 weeks after my first child's birth. I have been through the journey told often on this website - Doctor (diagnose), Specialists (told to keep health insurance as I would be back to see them after I finished with having children) and many many Womens health physio visits with no success or support at all besides being told it was a normal part of being a female and surgery would sort it out.

I have finally go hold of the WW book and DVD and am so happy to see there is something I can actually be doing - which is what I have been asking specialist for for so long.

I wondered if anyone would be able to help me with questions regarding what I should be doing while pregnant. I want to do all I can to help prevent too much further damage with this pregnancy. I feel informed on what is ideal for my birth after reading up from the book etc but what I am not sure on is exercises etc I should be doing DURING this pregnancy. I noted that Fire Breathing is not advised to perform while pregnant. I have the Second Wheel DVD and wondered if I could so all the exercised on that - I don't want to be doing anything that could course more problems.

Thanks for any advise x

Hello UKmum,
I think doing the Whole Woman exercises would be like doing anything else when it come to exercise and pregnancy. I've know woman who ran and rode bike throughout most of their pregnancies without any problems, but they are also used to doing that kind of activity. If you have been physically active, then you shouldn't have a problem.

If you are starting something new, you probably would want to use some caution and take it slowly. If you have the second wheel yoga DVD, just do what feels good to you. And, yes firebreathing is off limits for you. I have even found the new Kegels or pelvic rocks can cause a little achiness during my periods, so I just don't do those that time of the month.
Hope that helps some.
