I could use an outline...

Body:

Hi...
I'd like veteran members' advice on how to use WW material, and steps to take as I incorporate this info into my life.

1. I bought the book and the First Aid for Prolapse dvd. Should I add some of the other dvds to that? If so, can they be bought individually, as I don't need to buy the full bundle and get the things I already have?

2. I could really use advice on EVERYTHING...sitting, chairs, sleep position, rest...
What would work best? Just reading everything in the forum? Did you find you could search for specific topics in the blog section?

I feel like I need to go to Prolapse Management Camp for a week.

I'm 54, and my cystocele seems to be a gift of menopause, but I think the set-up was 4 vaginal childbirths (all kids in their 20s now,) and a lifetime of constipation. (Thankfully, finally well-managed with whole foods and Calm Mg supplement.)

Also, I think I triggered the problem when I incorporated jumping rope into my exercise regimen as an attempt to add more weight-bearing exercise. For now anyway, jogging and jumping are out, as they appear to be the culprits that relaunched my discomfort after I'd been feeling better for a couple months.

I am appreciating all the words of encouragement, and stories of success, and reading about how most of us start out feeling so horribly discouraged when we learn what's causing this new kind of discomfort.

One thing I definitely would like to do, once the Christmas crazy season passes, is arrange an in-person consult with a WW practitioner. There is one relatively near me.

Hi emmline and welcome,
It sounds like you have made a great start with the book and First Aid for Prolapse DVD, and yes you can add them one at a time. I went on to add the yoga DVDs so I could have a little variety and I always loved yoga. Plus, every product has wonderful information and new perspectives. You may want to also invest in the baton.

But, do remember to study that book and watch the Firsr Aid for prolpase, because Christine has provided loads of material in them for day to day living and what to do.

Also, remember that this work is first and formost about the posture. Pulling those organs forward into the lower belly is what relieves the symptoms of prolapse best, and getting that posture down is what does that.

Take your time with this work, no reason to rush anything. Patience and dedication to you is what makes this work successful.
Best wishes to you.

Hi emmline and welcome. There is really no substitute for total immersion in Whole Woman knowledge......it takes time to gel and you will eventually have your "aha moment". Sounds like you have made a good start. Like AG, I acquired my library of resources a piece at a time, though the bundles are a great deal for sure.

You are very lucky to have a nearby practitioner. I would like to see you really delve into this work so that if and when you see her, you'll be well on the road to true understanding, and your questions will be answered in a more meaningful way. Too much too soon can be overwhelming. Yet there are those who say "I wish I'd gone sooner". Everybody has her own best way to learn. - Surviving
