Can the exercise program help me?

Body:

I am 70 years old, very active. I had a hysterectomy when I was 43. (Sorry if this offends anyone, but 2 years of pain and bleeding from fibroids was all I could handle.) I became aware of my cystocele about 5 years ago. I have just had 3 months of diarrhea due to a reaction to medication I was taking. The diarrhea is now gone, but my cystocele has become very uncomfortable, and this morning I couldn't do my regular workout, which I find very distressing. I can't figure out from the website whether the exercise program can help me, or what part of the program might help me, or what I'm supposed to ask my doctor about before starting the program. I've learned from the website that I should work the program slowly if I start, and that the results will be slow in coming, but will be better than a pessary. Meanwhile, will it work to be fitted for a pessary while I begin the exercises? I'd really like to be able to do my regular walking sooner rather than later.

Hi Mikka,
Yes, doing the exercises gently is the best advice at this point. Also, work on the posture; walking is actually a great time to really pay attention to those posture principles. Christine is working on a post-hyst video, but I am not sure when she will be coming out with that.
I read over some of your older posts, and am wondering if part of your problem is still the vaginal dryness. Using a small dab of raw local honey inserted vaginally twice a day may help alleviate any friction that your cystocele is causing.

Thanks. No, I haven't had any further problem with vaginal dryness.

Help all...
i keep reading about the exercises and how to walk stand and sit... where do i get this information please?

Hello Superstar and welcome,
First go to the resources tab above and scroll down to the whole woman videos. The first video is of Christine explaining a little about this work and it's importance. You can then go to the whole woman store where you can find the books, DVDs, and online courses that whole woman offers.
Can you tell us a little about yourself and what kind of prolapse you are experiencing?
