major discharge (like a waterfountain) & pain

Body:

I have been having heaps of problems due originally from intestinal issues & constipation. The pressure caused the cervix prolapse to go to a stage 4. I have been able to get it back to a stage 3 most of the time but am now having heaps of discharge and pain.

I have read and re-read the WW book and can find no information on prolapse pain or what would be causing so much clear discharge. I am also bleeding from the cervix. Not a lot, but if I do any straining (which I try not to do) the cervix will bleed. Does anyone else have any of these issues? My GYN says that the cervix is just weeping but it has been out in the air for over 6 years and I have never had anything like this.

Thanks for any info. you might care to share.

Hi Cinder,

The cervix does not like to be outside the body, and yes, discharge is very common.

What do you do on a daily/hourly/moment-by-moment basis to move your uterus forward?

Christine

I try to stay in posture and it seems to be working to at least bring the prolapse back into a stage 3 where it has been for the past couple of years. I am comfortable with that, but I have never, ever had an issue with the cervix either bleeding or weeping. I think that I had an allergic reaction to the gel that the doctor gave me for bacterial vaginitis. I just couldn't believe that all of a sudden this poor prolapse would start weeping so much that I have to wear 2 sets of underware with a pad between them or else I leave wet spots everywhere I go. I'm hoping that if they figure out what is wrong with my intestines (but I can't get in until the end of Feb.) that I will be able to get everything back to what is normal for me. Thanks for any info. and I am trying to drink heaps of water and eat lots of fiber. I had the flu for the past 2 weeks (worst flu in 20 years) and it seems like everything just fell apart.

I don't know of anyone with a significant uterine prolapse, who could possibly hope to keep the cervix inside by simply "trying to stay in posture". Christine has this condition, and look at all the tools she has developed for dealing with it. Cinder, I believe we have been having this same conversation for 5 years now. Many have tried to convince you, but I don't think you've ever thrown yourself body and soul into the Whole Woman work. - Surviving

I have been using the information to keep the status quo. I admire the people on this website who are able to whole heartedly make a difference in their lives. As long as the prolapse stays stable and I am able to live with it, then I just embrace it as part of me. When something weird happens, like now, and I can't find information to tell me what is happening, I freak out. Over the years I have been able to keep it moist and relatively happy. There wasn't any significant bleeding or discharge or pain. The exercises cause me more pain than the prolapse due to other body issues. The food information on here is priceless, as is some of the encouraging stories. Until recently I had a doctor that believed in leaving the prolapse alone until I was ready to sit in a rocking chair. She sold her practice and the new doctor doesn't believe the same way. I read the WW book often and refer to it many times. I practice the posture and work on the breathing daily. This site is priceless to anyone who wakes up one morning and finds that they have suddenly grown a penis. If my original doctor had diagnosed me correctly 10 years ago perhaps things would be different. Who knows. So I apologize for taking up your time Surviving 60.
