Need advices!

Body:

Recently I have got the itchiness with long-lasting sharp pain the skin surrounding the anus. Sometimes it's bleeding during bowel movements. I got a physical exam and was diagnosed it's an anal fissure. I tried taking stool softeners to make bowel movements less painful. Take a sitz bath as well. The pain is relieved a little now. But it's still there. How can I get rid of it completely?

Any number of those remedies sound soothing and anti-inflammatory. However, if you want to restore the tissue and solve the problem for good, topical honey would be the best choice. Diet is extremely important too, as the enteric bacteria and yeast that cause burning, itching, and skin breakdown are coming from your rectum. Stool softeners disrupt natural microbiology.

I wish I had found you Christine before I had surgery 7 weeks ago! lol, hence the name Waited too long, Should be Rushed into Something! I have had the bulge in my vagina for about 4 years and started feeling the pull on ligaments so I thought I had to do something before the bottom fell out! So I went to an OB/Gyn and he said I needed a cystocele repair pretty quick. So I did. He said my pelvic ceiling needed to be tighened up, well he did the surgery and within the first week or so I knew things were back to square one. I went back to see him 2 times during my six weeks healing time, he said I wasn't letting myself heal. On my 6 week check up he said "we had a misunderstanding". I guess the misunderstanding was that I needed the floor tightened up not the ceiling? I'm not a doctor and like too many women, we trust our doctors to know our bodies when we know ourselves better than they do.
The doctor wants me to see another d. to do a Robtic surgery.
I did go to another dr. for his opinion and he said I had the wrong surgery and he wants to do a sling type surgery. ? Now that I've found Whole Women Inc. I wish I had NEVER had any surgery! I have ordered one your bundles and can't wait to get started on a new way to heal my body! Thank you in advance!

Hi WTL and welcome to Whole Woman. We've been here on the web for about a dozen years now, trying to keep as many women out of the operating room as we can. It is a tough sell, because the medical model for treatment of prolapse is so deeply ingrained and women are so attached to their doctors....but we keep working at it. And we appreciate post-surgery members who come on here to share their stories.

There are many types of repairs and you haven't specified which one(s) you've had, but it's safe to say that you will be much better off if you stop here and don't go any farther down the surgical path. The more tissue is lost and altered, the more the natural pelvic dynamics are compromised. I would recommend you take it slowly with the WW work. It is primarily designed for women who have not had any surgeries, so your results may not be terribly dramatic, but you should still be able to restore some lumbar curvature and learn to hold the organs as far forward as they can go. Seven weeks out from surgery is not a very long time and you don't want to disturb the healing process too much just yet.

Whatever your particular surgical situation might be, a consult with Christine might set you on a better and safer path than we can do here on the forum. Best of luck to you, and please keep helping us to spread the word. - Surviving
