Brand new to prolapse. I am scared

Body:

I am 42, I am in peri-menopause. My last baby was 10lbs vaginally. He is 12, my prolapse was too great to wear a tampon for a couple years. Then all was fine. Until one day I was having a really hard time going to the bathroom. I reached down and felt bulge. I splinted to go. I have a grade 1 Rectocele and Cystocele with straining. I really want to do the natural right way without wrecking my body with traditional medicine. I have terrible anxiety. I have Lupus, Type 1 diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease, depression. This prolapse is very private. When I first learned I cried. Was scared and didn't know what to do. I only have issue when I am actually having a BM. That is a whole other ballgame. I am "that" person that cannot go, unless I am home and I feel I can. Financial issues caused us to move into a small apartment. My husband and two sons and I. So it is difficult to go. I have zero idea how to change that metal block. Now that I splint I need to learn other ways. I am taking a stool softener and probiotics. I drink a ton of water. I am slightly overweight (10 lbs) I do yoga, and that is really my only exercise other than walking or elliptical. My prolapse is really only evident when I am seated on the toilet. It isn't seen standing, or felt standing. What is suggested that a new member should start with a small budget. I have ordered a squatting platform for the bathroom. I want to order everything, finances won't let me. So what is the most important book or video to get me started. Also any advise for the bathroom shyness? This is a big deal. It has always been there. Even more now that the rectocele is there. I dread going. I thank you in advance. Embarrassed and needing help.

here is the Whole Woman fundamental series:

https://www.wholewomanstore.com/Whole-Woman-Fundamentals--Posture-and-To...

This one has the basics of posture and toileting practices, and is a great first start into this work. It is also very affordable.

Hi Nelly - I agree this would be a great place to start, and you can add to your resources gradually over time, as you can afford to (WW has frequent sales). Your prolapse sounds fairly mild at this time, and you surely will want to learn all the tools for safe management. Firebreathing, and SAFE yoga moves, to give two examples. Walking, in very good mindful posture, is one of the best things you can do. But AG is right, you must start with the basics of posture and learn how to support your organs when you're on the toilet. Good luck and feel free to ask questions here. - Surviving

Thank you! I ordered and watched these videos. Wealth of information as to why. I think I understand the best way to help with elimination. I am still working on it.

I keep seeing Fire Breathing. I am not sure where the instructions are or when to do it. When I search online it isn't Christine's version. If you have a suggestion I am thankful.

Hi Nervous Nelly,
The Fundamentals video is a good introduction into this work, but to delve further into many of these most important tips and techniques, you will find them in Christine's body of work. Most of us like to start with the Saving the Whole Woman book and First Aid for Prolapse DVD. Here you will find excellent instruction on firebreathing as well as loads of very helpful information. There are also many other options in the whole woman store.
