Very stressed

Body:

I'm new here. I was recently (January) diagnosed with Stage 1 Uterine prolapse. I am so nervous about this and it is keeping me stressed out all the time thinking about it. I watched the video about posture and proper toileting. I have a few things I need to know about posture. I think I understand the posture but am concerned about sitting upright all the time. I feel like it puts stress on my back at times. I am constantly correcting how I sit and feel like I am never going to be able to sit as I did before and feel comfortable. What about sitting on the sofa at night watching television? Can I cross my legs and still sit properly? Will doing these last two things worsen my prolapse? Is this proper posture the only thing I need to do? Has anyone reversed their prolapse? I hope these questions don't sound ridiculous.

Thank you.

Hi Tinagw1 and welcome. There is no way to predict what your results will be, but if you have all your organs and have not had other surgeries, and are willing to tackle this program and use all the tools that are offered, you can certainly manage your prolapse quite successfully. You should be able to do any activity you want, without fear. But you need to immerse yourself, the forum is here for support but not to describe the entire program to you. Posture is the key element, but it is not the "only thing you need to do". Correct posture and exercise will strengthen your frame so that you can support yourself without pain, whether sitting, standing, walking, or lifting. Learning to firebreathe is an absolute must. - Surviving

Hi Tinagw1,
The First Aid for Prolapse Dvd has a section just on sitting, as well as many other helpful hints for daily living. It is well worth checking out for further instruction.

Surviving60, this is my first time to the forum. I'm just overwhelmed and stressed and have so many questions running through my mind all at once. I'm not trying to have the whole program explained to me here. I do have all my organs and I will definitely peruse the forum and find out which parts of the program I should start with first.

Aging gracefully, thank you, I will check this resource out next.

I don't know what video you have watched, but here is a good overview you might find helpful:

New, thank you. I purchased the fundamentals video showing proper posture and touleting. After I watched it I still had questions about sitting and that's why I joined the forum. I'm going to check out the link you just shared. Thank you so much.

Hi Tinagw1,
Whole Woman Fundamentals is a great introduction into this work, and to get deeper a look at some of Christine's other books and videos would be very helpful in better understanding and how it applies to our every day living.

Aging gracefully, thank you. I'm going to take a look at the books that are offered. I can't seem to find the First Aid Prolapse DVD in the Whole Woman store.

Aging gracefully, I appreciate this so much. Thank you for finding this for me.

GOOD SATURDAY ALL MY PROLAPSE WOMEN,
I AM SO NEW TO THIS AND APPRECIATE ANY AND ALL COMMENTS.............I HAVE BEEN TRYING THE POSTURE BUT NOT AT ALL SURE I AM DOING IT RIGHT IN ALL ASPECTS OF MY LIFE................I HAVE THE DVD FROM THE BOOK BUT IS THERE ANOTHER ONE OUT THERE THAT MIGHT GIVE ME MORE HELP?
ALSO, I HAVE NOTICED THAT DRINKING MORE WATER KEEPS ME HYDRATED AND ABLE TO MOVE MY BOWELLS EASILY. I THINK THAT IS GOOD BECAUSE ANY STRAINING TO RELIEVE BOWELLS IS NOT GOOD..FOR OUR PROLAPSE. COMMENTS, SUGGESSTIONS ARE SO APPRECIATED.. THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME.

I also use mindfulness training. Sometimes your thoughts can run away and cause unnecessary stress. I just posted on a doctor who kicked me out of his office because I asked about his surgical treatment outcomes. I pity the women who has gotten surgery just because he has the "surgeon GOD complex." Don't let stress overtake you. Advocate for yourself and read up on your condition before you get too stressed out. Education is powerful!!

Just want to put a correction in here. It was tinagw1 who came here stressed. Surviving is our forum moderator.

Healing with Passion - what DVD do you have? If i recall, the book only comes with a music CD. I would suggest First Aid for Prolapse if you don't already have it. - Surviving
