uterine prolapse

Body:

I haven't written on this site for some time but I have regulary read recent posts, especially those with similar problems to mine. My uterus has been protruding for some time and despite WW posture, yoga DVD and Destination Prolapse-free, I just can't it back into position resting on the pubic bone or even just inside.

I am an English oral examiner and often need to travel some distance by train. I dance regularly every week and have recently started a teacher training course for yoga. I am fully aware, thanks to Christine's DVDs and information that some positions are not suitable for the prolapsed woman, so I avoid them.
However, my problem is that for these activities I have to use the cube pessary, otherwise they would not be possible. It is quite soft and has holes in all its sides to avoid causing a vacuum and problems removing it. But after more frequent use I too feel that my prolapse feels worse, there seems to be much more pressure somehow and it feels as if it is protruding out further - even though I don't think this is possible. The continued use of the pessary or the continued pressure on the uterus when I sit down without it, have caused a sore place to appear which weeps occasionally. Today when I removed the pessary after being out all day, it even bled slightly.

This is worrying as I seem to be between the devil and the deep blue sea. I don't really want to give up all these activities but without the pessary the pressure on my bladder is so bad. I'm wondering what my options are.

Hi pompom. You are a long-time member and I doubt there is anything else that we can suggest that has not already been discussed. Ii believe that Christine herself has come onto your discussions many times.

Can you use a garment such as a V2 to give enough confidence and support without the pessary? Have you mastered firebreathing and belly toss? The latter move is taught in the Destination Prolapse-Free on-line course that you have (which now goes by the name of "The Whole Woman Solution to Pelvic Organ Prolapse"). A significant uterine prolapse requires quite a lot of this type of work, and progress is usually incremental over time. - Surviving

Dear Pompom12,
I sympathize with your problem as I haven't been able to find a solution either but a pen pal I write to with the same problem as myself which is a more advanced Uterine prolapse has been quite satisfied with a product you wear called a HIDEAWAY.(hideawayprolaspedbladdersupportgarment) you will notice that it does say for bladder but my friend uses it for her Uterine. If you go onto the site you will see a short video by the lady who invented it, I believe her name is Marlene or could be Marylin, you should see her first on the list. Hope that will be of help to you.
Best of Luck, Daphne.

Hey Surviving
I would say I have mastered firebreathing and belly toss. I realized the course I referred to has recently been given a new name. All of Christine's products are helpful and motivating. I often just want to listen to her explaining all there is to know about prolapse. Somehow it makes me feel a lot better. I know Christine herself had a severe prolapse and has managed to sort it out so that is is manageable, which still leaves me with some hope. Of course, my particular situation, 7 natural births and two miscarriages and now way beyond menopause doesn't help. I try to keep the WW posture all the time and won't stop.
Thanks so much.

Hey Daphne
Thanks so much for suggesting a way to get support. I'll definitely look into this. I hope that you are able to manage your prolapse too. I find all of Christine's suggestions and products really helpful but haven't had so much success getting my POP back where it should be. All the very best to you. pompom
