When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!

Hi Serena,Chrisitne advises
Hi Serena,
Christine advises against wearing anything constrictive around the waist as it may well "Squelge" all our abdominal organs downwards, contributing to prolapse. Not sure about the overfilling theory, haven't heard that but it doesn't mean its not true. I am no expert in these matters. So no, it probably isnt a bad thing to wear looser, and less constrictive items, and it is probably a great deal more comfortable too! :)

Elastic waistbands
Hi Serena
What's the alternative to elastic waists that you are measuring against?
Iwonder if in cultures that don't wear any clothes if women all have overfilled bladders? I suspect God was a bit cleverer than that in the original design. I would go for waist bands on clothes that accommodate the body's changing shape, ie loose enough not to press in on the pelvic contents, but firm enough to keep your pants up, either with a lowered front as Christine suggests, or full and softly stretchy as I have found.
I suspect that suspicion of elastic waistbands might be covering up that the doctor doesn't really know! I would also suspect that lack of sensation of fullness was more of a problem than not wearing tight enough clothes. All that rigid clothes will do is try and force the bladder ant uterus out through the pelvic floor. On the other hand a tight elastic waistband could very well distract the wearer's thoughts away from feelings of bladder fullness towards the feeling of constriction round the waist. Maybe you just don't have much sensation of fullness, like your Mum, and that for both of you it could be a risk factor.
On the other hand following Christine's clothing guidelines and particularly the Wholewoman posture, it may allow you to normalise all the sensations that your body feels. You could also try wearing nothing around your waist and see if that makes any difference.
Having watched your mum suffer the way she has, has undoubtedly given you more than a little anxiety about your own body, and what it will be like when you are her age. Just remember that you are a different person living in a different body, and while you may share some genetic similarities, it is important to get to know your body and its peculiarities, listen to it, and look after it. Try not to be scared. Just fill your head with good knowledge and trust your judgement.
Best wishes

i came across some really nice non-elasticated undies in american apparal. Remember to go two sizes bigger than they advertise.. comehow they are missized. Everyone i know thinks that. But they are also really flattering little boy short style and soooooo comfortable.
they have branches in all big cities i think and if not perhaps you can get them on the internet.
Best wishes

Clothing posts
Hi Serena
You will find all the stuff about clothing scattered Posts in the Lifestyle Forum. Scroll to the top of the left frame of the browser window and click on Forums. Then click on Lifestyle. Look for subjects that are about clothing. There is also a section of 'Saving the Wholewoman' about clothing.
I couldn't find anything about clothing on the Wholewoman website. Don't worry, a lot of us fear turning into our own Mothers, me included, even though I love her dearly.
Cheers
Louise
