Stairclimber

Body:

Hey Ladies!

My favourite cardio machine at the gym is the stair climber. Any feedback on if this is good for utilizing the posture? In my head it would seem like a good thing as you lean a bit forward, I would just have to concentrate to not tighten my ab muscles.

I haven't used one of these, but once you understand the posture well, you can apply it to any activity, and judge it by how well you are able to hold posture. Leaning forward is not particularly prolapse-friendly if it is flattening the lumbar curvature; you'd be holding your body in that obtuse angle that is de-stabilizing for the organs. If you can stand up tall and maintain all aspects of the posture, you should be OK. If you must bend, be sure you're hinging at the hips. - Surviving
