Lower Back Pain

Body:

Has anybody suffered any lower back pain when they begun the posture? I don't have Christine's book yet (ordered thru Amazon), but I have been doing the posture from the info on this site and I hope that I'm doing it right. My back could be just sore due to the fact that I have always had bad posture (rounded sholders) and now I'm training my back to be in proper alignment. I've also notied that my body feels fatigued since I've been doing the posture, is this normal too? I've only been doing this for 4 days now, but I have noticed an improvment in my cystocele!

Thanks for any info!

Hi St. Jo Mommy,

Yes, it's a very common complaint in the beginning. Making sure you are incorporating the upper body posture is vital. When you stretch your head and neck up and forward while holding your shoulders down (not back!) your lumbar spine is prevented from hyperextending. Developing a wide "clothes hanger" across the shoulders is essential to the work and is exhausting at first. We are a culture of round-shouldered women! Please alternate with lots of rest and a very good diet.

I'm so happy you notice improvement in your cystocele. It's very possible your symptoms will resolve entirely.

:-) Christine
