When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!

RE: How do fibroids weigh in on this?
Hi
I saw your post and just thought I'd share with you because I have also been diagnosed with a fibroid; I hope you (or Christine) don't mind. What the GYN told me is that the fibroid (which in my case was assessed as quite large), because of its location, was pushing against my uterus thus leading to the prolapse. I was recommended for surgery and advised to stop exercising as my uterus was 'mobile' and the movement would lead to further protrusion.
After reading Saving the Whole Woman and doing a ton of research which led me to other books and a boat load of information, I changed my diet, started exercising again and now seem to have the prolapse under control. I plan to return for another scan in a few months to see if the fibroid has shrunk. (BTW, I haven't suffered from heavy bleeding or any of the other usual symptoms of a fibroid.)

Just want to add the book that NaturalGirl recommended a few posts back: "Healing Fibroids, A Doctor's Guide to a Natural Cure", Allan Warshowsky, M.D., and Elena Oumano.

RE: How do fibroids weigh in on this?
Hi again FH
Was just doing an online search, trying to find out about this "alternative therapy" suggested by Dr Tim Johnson on ABC, when I came across this website:
http://www.uterinefibroids.com/
They also have these "meetup" groups in different states and cities in the US for women with fibroids.

RE: How do fibroids weigh in on this?
Hello--
Yes, I'd like to see more on the topic of fibroids here. I am pretty sure that my one rather large fibroid is what is causing the problem--
Like many of you, I have no interest in surgery, or even "surgical procedures". When I last had an ultrasound, my little fibroid was 9 cm, and had stablized at that size for about a year and a half. When I was in total freak-out mode about having a fibroid at all (it was initially only 2 cm, and on the outside of my uterus) and tried everything from acupuncture to Vitex, the little thing only grew bigger. I had finally found a doctor who agreed that western medicine didn't have anything acceptable to offer, but was willing to monitor the situation with me. Last spring I moved, and now have no doctor and no insurance. However, I did go to a free clinic yesterday, and it was worse than I had expected. Not only did I not get any information on the prolapse, only that I did have a large fibroid and the only way to know for sure that it wasn't cancer (or that I didn't have ovarian cancer lurking in there hidden by the fibroid, etc) was to do a hysterectomy. That is what the doctor said. He did order an ultrsound, but because he was so unhelpful, I'm reluctant to follow up. I have done a lot of reading on fibroids. I know there is better help out there now--but how to find it and how to pay for it. . .I have been reading the messages on this site for about 5 months now and was going to wait until I had seen a doctor and knew what was going on before I wrote, but . .
I'd come to beleive that perhaps my fibroid just was not going to respond to any physical intervention at all. Perhaps I had to deal with it on spiritual plane. . .perhaps I had to forgive my mother, that sort of thing. . .It definitely seemed to grow bigger with fear, so I chose to ignore it, until the prolapse started happening last spring. . .At first it was intermittent, and I seemed to be able to keep everything in with yoga. . .later today I will write more about my experiences with yoga.
