When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

Hi Lilly Anne
I am also trying to find things to help with my constipation. Senna tea from what I have read is a herbal laxative but I do not know if it is safe to take long term every day. I need to seriously change my diet and see if that helps but I do know how frustrating it is. I have never suffered with constipation before prolapse (only when pregnant) and I am finding this whole situation quite distressing. Like you I do not want to rely on something to get my bowels moving normally but you get to the point where you just need to go and will do whatever it takes. I have to keep resorting to taking Senokot tablets which I hate doing.
I hope someone else will jump in with a more helpful answer.
Take care,
A

Smooth Move
ATS - This post about tea jogged my memory - years ago on the morning TV show Regis & Kathy Lee, she talked about a tea called 'Smooth Move' that she drank every evening to keep her regular. At first it was very hard to find because everyone was buying it after the show aired. I finally bought some for my mother and myself. It worked like a charm for both of us! You can only get it in a health food store. It's better than taking laxatives which can be habit forming. Good luck!

Green Tea
Ladies,
Not sure about anyone else, but green tea in the early morning has me running to the toilet. One morning I didn't make it! Glad no one else was up! Green tea also makes me nauseated if I drink it in the early morning. It's a trade off. But it's better than anything else I've ever eaten including a whole box of prunes!
The properties of green tea are supposed to help with a number of health issues. It's supposed to be a miracle drink.

Hello
Well you can't by Smooth Move in the UK but I can get Senna and Green Tea. Still can't find any information as to whether Senna can be taken long term but Green Tea seems fine.
I found this little bit of info on green tea:-
Will facilitate gastro-intestinal activity.
Tannin in Green Tea activates your stomach and bowels. It also relieves your constipation.
Green Tea treats your stomach and bowels which are vulnerable to stress.
So I will give that a try.
This really is costing me a fortune. I took Psyllium Husk for the last 2 days and again it didn't help. Something HAS to work in the end!
Thanks for the info.

Smooth Move
The Senna Tea I bought is called smooth move. How funny is that. I have taken it for the past 2 days and it has been very helpful. The box does say herbal stimulant laxative. I plan on calling my gastro & making sure that it is safe being that I couldn't find much about it on the computer regading the safety of taking it daily. My gyno had suggested taking it. Also, my friend who is a nurse said that she felt it was safe.
I will try the green tea as well. I was talking to my aunt yesterday and she said that drinking hot water at bed time usually helps her. I have read that drinking a warm drink before breakfast is also supposed to be helpful too.

Hi Lilly Anne...
I think if you drink the tea for a week or two and get your body into a rhythm, you'll probably be able to start to cut down on how frequently you drink it. Also, after awhile you can make the tea weaker by steeping it for less amount of time so it's not as strong. I also drink green tea, but haven't found the same effects from it.

But....
My Mum takes these more natural granule things to help - Senocot can give you a lazy bowel she was told...
I use satsumas and that works well...
The ones she takes are called Normacol plus...
Are you in UK? Here doctors prescribe them for mum

Well I certainly do not want
Well I certainly do not want a lazy bowel - I am having enough trouble as it is!
I will pop to the supermarket later and get some fruit - granny smiths and satsumas and munch on them today.
I have finally managed to go and ooohh what a relief! I do feel kind of strange today though and swear something has happened down there but I am too terrified to check it out as I am feeling delicate enough.
Thanks for the advice.

Peppermint Tea or any tea for that matter
I had stomache pains last night which I think may be from the senna tea. At bedtime I drank peppermint tea instead. Well, that worked too. I am going to try drinking tea at bedtime to see if I have continued success.
What is satsumas? Please advise as I've never heard of it before. I am always looking for more foods that can "bring it" naturally.
It's just so nice to have people to talk to about constipation, my friends just can not relate!

Satsumas are like a small
Satsumas are like a small sweet easy to peel orange. Also called Clementines or mandarines. Does that help?
Like you I seem to be the only one with this problem - a bit like the POP! I am always the odd one out in this family.
