2 and 1/2 years later still doing great!

Body:

I haven't had time to visit the forum for quite awhile but I'm glad to see it's going stronger than ever. I am, too. :-) I just wanted to leave some encouraging words for others.

I just turned 48 and had what I believe to be a global prolapse (cystocele, rectocele and uterine prolapse) happen all at once, within about a month or so around March of 2004. Thank goodness I found Christine's book and website!! I started using the posture immediately and I really believe it helped stop the progress of my prolapse. Every once in awhile I get tired and think the unthinkable (surgery) for about a minute, then I review some of her materials or just think about my own success and I know I'll never go that route. I have yet to mention my condition to a doctor.

The only times that get bad for me are if I spend too much time not thinking about my posture or if my diet gets way off course - the gas and bloating change my abdominal pressure and well, there it is - and sex can be quite uncomfortable during those times. Otherwise, just monthly cycle changes give me ups and downs that really don't have much negative impact on me at all. Fortunately I have not experienced incontinence. I don't exercise as much as I'd like and I know I could be even better if I would. But just the posture alone has kept me intact.

After 27 years, I got a divorce last winter (little to no sex in two years) and am in a new relationship. I am having more sex than I have ever had in my life and it is absolutely wonderful. I have more sensation than ever and the "finales" are unbelievable.

I hope I've been able to encourage someone a little - I know how frightening it is when this first happens to you, and the support I found here just really kept me going for a long time. Hang in there (no pun intended!!). This is a great and loving bunch of women; and bless Christine for her work - she has and continues to save so many of us from lifetimes of unnecessary discomfort and worse. Take care, all!!

How wonderful of you to drop in, Lynn! It’s so nice to hear of your progress…congratulations! I saw that Sybille said hello to us as well. Cheers to the whole women!!

I found this old post of yours so up beat and positive. I just wanted to say hello and see how you are doing now, more than a year later. Kit

Hi Lynne

Nice to hear that you are going well still. Your experience is similar to mine.

Cheers
