Can't get comfortable today @:(

Body:

I'm at work and I've tried everything except standing up and typing. I've got that awful "pinching" feeling and I started my period today, which doesn't help. Sitting in the posture hurts. Sitting slouched down hurts. Sitting with my booty hanging over the edge of my chair hurts. Trying to lean up on one of my sit bones to relieve pressure hurts.

Thought I would get smart with the constipation and took a stool softener last night. Boy, was I ever sorry when I woke up this morning! I've never had one give me stomach cramps and gas before, but this one sure did!!!

So, pretty much everything between my belly button and knees hurts or is uncomfortable.

I've already told coworkers I need a lot of sympathy today. I just wish I could make it all go away for a little while. @:( It's so tiring to try to sit up for 8 hours when you can't get comfortable sitting.

Its hard but I think we all have those days. A lot of ladies find during their period is the worst time for them, I actually find the week following my period the worst.

Unfortunately I am uncomfortable ALL the time at the moment so I am not good with suggestions. If you look under "bodywork" and the post headed "instead of checking ..." which was recently posted by Christine she gives some suggestions to help reposition your organs.

Wishing you better.

Anita

is the only way to get relief. but you could try the horsey ride position. use the strength of your legs to hold your but almost off the chair.

Anita, you are such a sweetie. I'm so sorry you're having a rough time lately. It's so easy to get discouraged. I had a good day a couple of days ago and thought, wow, maybe this is an upward trend! Then - BAM. Can't sit down. @:(

Alemama, that is a great suggestion. I have tried it the last little bit and actually it is helping. It is more comfortable, thank you!

I get that almost every time, and it is worse if I have been dehydrated or eating the wrong things. Gives me backache, bloating and pain. No amount of dietary intervention helps. Then at the end of day 1 or during day 2, the bowel decides it is emptying time and then I have several loose poos and get back to normal. It is almost like my bowel is holding its breath in tension and suddenly lets go. I know it will happen when it is ready, so I just put up with it and wait, and try not to get upset about it. Works every time. Hope yours lets go too!

cheers

Louise

Louise, it's interesting - would you believe woke up in the middle of the night with a big old attack of spastic colon which has continued into the morning??? I suppose it is all related somehow. Brought a donut cushion to work to sit on today and am hoping things will be better. I pretty much went home and sat last night - but it did make me feel better!
