When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!

prolapse?
I would believe them! Why not? Sounds like your pain is from an infection and when that clears up you will probably have much relief. Congratulations. Make sure to take probiotics during AND AFTER you finish the antibiotics. EXPECT to feel better.

what do you think?
if three docs concurred that you don't have any significant prolapse, and your only symptom is consistent with post-catheterization urethral irritation, then go ahead and believe them!
hopefully its just one of those things that has to run its course, though I'm sure there are some things you can do to help your body heal (as mentioned probiotics to prevent yeast, and maybe vit.E?? just guessing...). and along the way you've learned how to prevent a prolapse.
do let us know when you're feeling better so we can all do the happy-happy dance along with you :)

Jump for joy - Smile and be grateful
Yes - I would believe them.
I would be so grateful and I would move on with my life in the posture knowing that I have really been able to understand a problem before I am marred by it...
I would be that 100% of us women here would lobe tobe where you are now and to be able to get into posture and protect ourselves before something like this would happen...
Forewarned is forearmed as they say and Knowledge is POWER.
You are now ahead of the game

To me "no significant prolapse" means that what you have is so mild that it is almost undetectable. I would say that if you continue with Christine's work then hopefully your "weak area" will either improve or become no worse. Your symptoms at the moment seem to point to your uretral syndrome and hopefully once that is treated your "normal" will return. You have now been armed with the information you need to protect your body.
I know the feeling of obsession about your crotch, we have another crotch obsesser here! I suppose its a bit like having pain anywhere else, you focus on it and it affects your whole day. Your organs are not falling out and they are right where they are supposed to be so try and relax.
Do let us know how you are getting on and if you get to the bottom or your urethral troubles.
Best wishes,
Anita

{{{{{{hugs to all of you!}}}}}}
Thank you so much. I know you know what I mean by that crazy feeling; I've been in situations like that before where I've said, wait a minute - am I the one who's crazy here or am I the only one who's sane??? Mostly, I'm the crazy one. @:O
I'd be interested to know what probiotics ya'll use. I've been taking an acidophilus supplement for several months now and I have not had one yeast infection since I started them. I was glad to have discovered this particular one, I think they're called acidophilus "Perles." They are these teeny tiny little sort of gel pills, very easy to take. I've run into the problem of a whole lot of vitamin supplements being horse pills that I literally cannot swallow. Are there other things than acidophilus that are good to take?
So, I'm trying to pick myself up, dust myself off and get a better frame of mind. I've been so depressed ever since the D&C because the problems have been going on that long. Again, I feel it's such a blessing to have found this place because I can tell you, my ob/gyn (whom I really love) has got me on a fast track for a hysterectomy. Before, I was thinking, might as well just get all that out and not have to fool with it anymore. I figured that getting the uterus out would actually HELP with any type of prolapse - that it would take some weight off the pelvic floor. Now I know that exactly the opposite is true! And I know my doc would not tell me about the risk of prolapse and other problems after a hysterectomy. I'm going to fight it as hard as I can.
I've gotten so interested in everyone and in the information on the board that I still want to be here. I certainly want my "weak area" not to get worse and I'm sure I can continue to gain knowledge here, and I am interested in everyone and their particular situations. I've got to beat this constipation thing and if I had not found this site I wouldn't know what was going on. I have absolutely avoided any straining and have been trying to up the fiber in my diet. I know the posture and exercise also play in but I've been too scared to stand up long enough to do any exercise. Maybe I can add that in now. And am also thinking about getting back into yoga. I haven't done it for years and I used to really enjoy it.
I guess if all of you would believe the docs, then I just have to get into that mindset. I've been so convinced that everything was falling out it's kind of hard not to be creeping around, avoiding any kind of physical stress. I've even gotten to the point where I was afraid to go grocery shopping - on my feet too long.
Thank you so much for your input and just want you to know I do care about each of you and am concerned about you.

Such a lovely post. Please stick around and keep us informed of how you are.
Acidophilus is something my mum takes when she has an upset stomach and she swears by it. I've never tried it myself. I do know what you mean about the "horse pills", my flaxseed oil capsules are HUGE and I always worry that one will get stuck one day.
As for the creeping around and avoiding standing for too long, I was the same when I first arrived here. I was literally terrified to move but life does go on and you have to keep going and as you know now doing the right sort of exercise helps with prolapse issues. I do the DVD and walking and some firebreathing but haven't ventured into anything else as I am still a bit scared.

YEA! I'm so happy for you!
YES! Believe them! They see lots and lots and lots of crotches. This is GREAT news.
Like all others said...you now have the power to prevent. Wow! What an amazing gift. Since you know how scary prolapse can be no doubt you (like most of us here) will go around preaching caution and posture and such to every walking woman.
I'm SO VERY happy for you. Yes - a victory!
