When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

Yikes.
Mine occasionally drive my bonkers. I think when I have that loose low feeling at it's worst once a month.
They can keep their scalpels away from mine.
If your guy is happy...
Take your time on this one.

Do your research
I would say do your research as any surgery can cause numbness and you do not want any complications down there and loss of feeling in any vital areas!
I did read this on another site:-
"About the Labiaplasty Surgery
labia minora reduction surgery (labiaplasty) is relatively minor surgical procedure to reduce excessively large labia. The labia reduction surgery takes about 2 hours and is performed with accurate approximation of the normal labial edges to preserve the normal appearance and sensation of the labia and vaginal opening, whereas the other technique takes 15-30 minutes and results in a scar line of labial edge. That scar can cause chronic discomfort and disfigurement."
Make sure you are having the best surgery done if you do decide to go for it.
Good luck,
Anita

You've got to be kidding!
Hi Belianne
You've got a boyfriend, and presumably have a sex life?
He doesn't want you to have the procedure?
You have prolapses and want to remove tissue that protects your urethral opening and vagina from irritation and damage?
Whoa! I think you need to do a lot more research about possible nerve damage that will reduce your enjoyment of sex if you have this procedure. Also, any surgery has other risks like infection and anaesthetic risk (death). I would be fleeing the scene if anybody suggested doing something unnecessary to my body that could permanently compromise my enjoyment of sex and intimacy or leave me disfigured or dead.
You cannot undo these procedures.
You may end up with reduced coverage of your vulva, especially later in life when all your genital tissue kind of shrinks at menopause. Keeping your vagina healthy and moist as we age is enough of a challenge, without somebody cutting bits off the door
that keeps the wind out!
Some Bliss Balm or other lube used every day may reduce the friction that draws your attention to the extra tissue, or try knickers that are cut well with a little lycra content, that will support the labia better.
God made you like this and loves you the way you are. Bodies are all different. Your boyfriend loves you the way you are and has expressed negative sentiments about it. Listen to him. Plastic surgeons are just trying to make you feel imperfect and unhappy, then trying to sell you products to make you perfect and happy, just like the cosmetics industry, the car industry, the fashion industry and a whole lot of others. They take your money and go home at night to their manufactured wives and leave you to deal with the rest of your life. Don't mess with it. Perfection and happiness come from within, and labial reduction will not make you more perfect, just more altered.
How would you feel if your man came home one day and told you that he didn't like having his balls hanging unevenly any more, and was thinking about having one of them surgically lifted???
Sorry, but this rave pressed some pretty serious little buttons for me. Sorry if it got a bit heavy.
Cheers

speaking of.....
balls hanging unevenly....doesn't one hang lower than the other? I remember learning that in my anatomy class. imagine if them plastic surgeons starting offering a fix for that one. I wonder how many men would line up for surgical correction of asymmetrical scrotum.
sleep deprivation = weird thoughts that make me giggle

balls etc
Hi Gmom
Yes, I think they do normally hang unevenly, which is just the point. Nothing is off-limits these days. I saw a picture the other day of a man who had 'devil's horns' implanted high on his forehead, to complement his many tattoos and body piercings. Wierd.
I could just as easily have used the example of a man having a penis extension (ie cutting part of the ligament that holds the penis up to the pubic area), so it hangs lower and looks longer when it is not erect. I would be mortified if DH decided that he didn't have a long enough penis and wanted to get mutilated a bit so it looked longer! Maybe I am the wierd one here? I really just wanted to get Belianne to look at it from another perspective before deciding.
Cheers

Okay, Okay, I hear you all loud and clear.
I appreciate these other perspectives and am sure I will not be changing anything any time soon if ever.

Shrink
Belianne,
Good - because the tissues there do shrink during crazypause and a quick clip and curl today might me baldness tomorrow! Can't imagine what it would be like...
Love the posts about men, however. My d-i-l once told me that she saw a picture of a guy who split his penis like a fillet and then pierced it back together with screws.
My daughter was head of security for Tampa Airport at one time and said she saw far too much when someone had to go to the bathroom and be wanded because there was metal in his pants. Won't imagine.

I saw a picture once like the one you describe and it really made my stomach turn. Some men get real enjoyment out of splitting their bits and its just horrible. Cannot not imagine for one second what is enjoyable and the pain must be awful.
Yikes!!

it's these Men's way of exerting control over something they feel controls them ?

I've been thinking about
I've been thinking about your post for two days now, and just wanted to say that while I can't really give you advice--I CAN say that I know how it feels to not like our bodies...possibly because we feel that we look "different" than other women, somehow.
I hope no one is offended at my suggestion, but Betty Dodson Ph.D. (www.bettydodson.com) has a wonderful book and/or DVD called "Viva La Vulva: Women's Sex Organs Revealed" with pictures of how very different we can each look 'down there' and yet---it's all normal---and just how God made us to be totally unique!
Your boyfriend encouraging you to stay as you are is a really good indication that he likes what you have!!~smile~
I've found that when the doctor you are talking to is a surgeon---they they are usually more than happy to accommodate requests for surgical procedures. (I don't think they are always looking at the 'big picture' or keeping your best interest in mind.)
Good luck,
