Rib pain?

Body:

Could the rib pain I had from early pregnancy be associated with pop? Intuitively I think it was/is. It started early on waaay before my bump was anywhere near my ribs and I presumed it would subside once i wasn't pregnant any more, but it still flares up from time to time, particularly when i feel the rectocele is at its worst. If i remember posture then it goes but the minute i slouch its back with me.
its definitely not gallbldder pain and is more to the middle and left. Anyone else have it? Any ideas why? what to do?

i'm just trying to piece together what happened. the other wierd thing is that one day late on i felt a funny sensation and the thought went through my head that 'oh well if thats something slipping down i'll have to deal with it once the baby is born'...I had no idea about prolapses then. it also is apparent now to me that needing to pee every 20 mins was not normal and a sign something was up, I definitely didnt have to put up with that in my first pregnancy.

So it seems like the pop was forming during pregnancy or even formed after ds1 was born, got worse thouhg i didnt know it existed while pregnant with ds2 and became apparent once he born...just thinking out loud and trying to figure stuff out......and wondering what the implcations are for having another baby :(....

Hi All

This is a theme that comes up continually. I think it is because the first pregnancy we have is usually with no pronounced prolapses. Everything stretches during pregnancy, maybe you have an episiotomy or other birth trauma. Postpartum period sometimes sees the prolapse manifest, then you recover over the following year or so, then fall pregnant again.

The difference the second time around is that prolapse has already visited when you become (I hate that term 'fall!) pregnant so everything has already been stretched and some damage done, which you may not even realise at the time. Therefore you may experience the second pregnancy quite differently, as you are in a changed body.

Do others think similarly on this?

Cheers

its the first pg that changes a woman's status from 'never been pg' to 'having once been pg'. its the first pg that changes you, emotionally and physically, into a mother. so the second time around, its all different because YOU are different. your body is already changes and also maybe you notice things that you didn't before.

I had rib pain from my second pg on, but I know why. I was in my 8th mo and my ds headbutted me in the ribs and dislocated one of my 'floating ribs'. now it sticks out at this weird-o angle. good thing I'm not a swimsuit model.
