bleeding after menopause....??

Hi Christine,

I read your book and am having the same experience that you talk about in your last chapter. I haven't had a regular period in two years but two weeks ago I started spotting and then that spotting turned into a more/thicker spotting. Both these were very dark. Now I am having a much redder flow - more like a regular period.... Thank goodness I read your chapter Christine!!!!!!!! Any thoughts, anyone?

I remember someone saying to me that any post menopausal bleeding should be thought of as cancer and tests done to rule out that possibility. Chances are that it is break through bleeding - the hormones last "hurrah" so to speak, but it would be prudent to have this checked out.

Actually I have just had a pap smear which turned out negative. This was done about a week before I started spotting so I think I am okay.

I will be seeing a gyn on the 26th. Any other thoughts?
