When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!

stomach and uterine prolapse
These are very good questions, Jenna. Yes, I think it's quite possible that your stomach may have prolapsed and loops of bowel filled the space your retroverted uterus left vacant. The good news is that you probably do not have serious adhesions or unnatural cavities that were surgically opened and into which bowel could fall and become permanently trapped.
In creating this dvd I had a choice to make as to which demographic of women to gear the exercise routine toward. I chose a more vigorous workout because it was mainly younger, fit women asking me for such a resource. I do understand that many women feel the First Aid for Prolapse program is too difficult. However, the beginning workout is something a great many women can accomplish and I would certainly suggest that you try to do that each day. The firebreathing and nauli are taken from traditional yoga exercises originally created by men to reverse stomach prolapse!
I would also suggest exercises that are done on your hands and knees. Begin by simply doing deep abdominal breathing in this position so that all your organs are falling forward. The principle factor in the development of prolapse is that the organs have been prevented from moving down and Forward with each in-breath. Instead (usually because we pull our stomach in) they are ultimately pushed down and Back by the force of intraabdominal pressure. Find ways to use the breath and the weight of the organs themselves to pull them forward toward their natural positions.
I hope this makes sense to you and feel free to ask further questions if need be.
Wishing you well,
Christine

Organ displacement
Hi Jenna
Your situation doesn't sound too much fun to me. You have been putting up with this for a long time.
Did you have any assessment or treatment at the time of your initial injury?
Have you had any medical assessment recently to check that there is not something else happening in your abdominal/pelvic area?
While we don't believe that surgical repairs are the best solution for pelvic organ prolapse, it is quite important to know exactly what is going on in your body, before embarking on an exercise programme or any self-management. You may have other, more dangerous injuries, eg hernia, to address.
If you haven't already, I would strongly suggest a thorough medical examination before you go any further with WW exercise.
Cheers

Displacement of Internal Organs
Hi, at first I would like to say thanks to Christine and others who have replied to my posting here.
Yes, I had gone through much of discomfort and needless to say how upset I was in the beginning when it happened. When I quit my job I thought the stomachache would go away eventually, but well.. it didn’t. (It is better though than it used to be in the beginning unless I start to do some labor work, like cleaning, lifting, etc., but after I do excurses from Christine’s DVD and book I get relief)
Yes, I went to doctors for sure, but what they told me, as I had no kids prolapse is impossible. (They told me prolapsed uterus from lifting is not possible only from bearing kids which is totally untrue as I made a lot of research prolapse from lifting is very possible). When I told I feel my bowels and whole stomach has dropped down, they told it is impossible too, only what heppens is hernia, or uterus prolapse. But as I had no children they said you have nothing wrong. (and due to my age then 22 they told it is impossible to have uterine prolapse).
They took CT scan and told nothing is wrong except that my “left ovary is seen more cephalad and posterior to left iliac vessels”. (Actually I can see my whole stomach is more inclined to the left side, and this happened as I lifted some heavy stuff at my work. (I could feel it and seen it in the CT scan images, but they didn’t consider it as something to pay attention at or as something unusual.
But I never believed that I am fine as I felt it inside of me that my uterus is down and my stomach is bulging out and when I lift I am in pain.
Few years ago, I went to a person, who can feel internal organs with his hands and place them back at the right place. He made a massage on my stomach and placed it back in place. (It helped a bit but then when I lifted and did other labor job it shifted downward again).
What he told me (actually I knew about it because I felt it well) that my stomach has dropped down about 8 cm from its original place, and in addition it inclined to my left side together with uterus and bowels. Also he told my uterus was almost at the entrance and it also folded (retroverted, but I don’t know which side).
I don’t’ think I need an operation, but my stomach organs have shifted from its original place and I think with exercises it may be corrected, but I didn’t know which exercises to do.
Ones again, thank you so much for replying me, and answering my questions.

Workers compensation
Hi Jenna
Just wondering if you have compulsory workers' compensation in the USA. In Australia, every employer needs to have it, so that workers who are injured on the job can be compensated. It is one of the big costs of employing people in Australia. Was your initial doctor independent of the company you worked for?
It certainly does sound as if you have done some major structural damage, and I cannot believe that the initial doctor said it was impossible that you had sustained an injury which would result in POP. Sounds like he was watching somebody's back.
Did any doctor investigate the possibility of hernia properly? It seems like you really don't have a clear picture of what has happened because nobody has been able to tell you exactly why these organs are displaced. It doesn't sound like a *straightforward* POP, as your stomach (the organ) is involved too.
Are you able to put your stomach back in its place like the man you consulted did? Could you see him again, and get him to teach you how to do it? I think you are at the beginning of a journey of understanding how your body is put together. Once you know more I am sure you will be able to figure out how to keep everything in its place, even if it means that you are limited in your lifting.
Cheers

Garment for Displacement of Internal Organs
Hello, Jenna,
I saw this thread, and wanted to add something that you may find helpful.
Throughout our lives, we all experience a displacement of internal organs. Obviously, yours is much more severe than what the majority of people experience.
You noted that you found a doctor who was indeed able to offer you some relief from the pain, however temporary, by massaging your abdominal area and putting at least your stomach back in place, but that once you lifted again, your organs displaced themselves once again.
There is, in fact, a medical garment designed by an orthopedic surgeon and a medical engineer that has effectively countered this phenomenon of the displacement of organs. It has helped people to be able to realign themselves and put their internal organs back to where they should be. Because your case seems to be severe, if you combined this garment with exercises and/or massaging, I think you could make some significant improvements in your internal physiological health, and feel a lot better in the process. Please don't hesitate to let me know if I can be of any help; it is truly alarming that such a young woman could experience this kind of physical trauma and have this kind of discomfort.
