When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

The bike
Hi Christine
Well, I am looking forward to the video. I sat on DD's exercise bike last weekend and did equivalent of 5km. Not hard while watching telly with the wind raging outside. It was pretty ordinary with my hands on the handlebars. No doubt I could do some radical adjustment but it is just as easy to sit up in WW posture, no hands. No need to steer or balance, so what's the point of holding on to something? I could almost imagine knitting while I ride!.
I wonder if you can get a bike seat with a moving ball and socket attachment, so your butt could move freely wherever it wanted to while riding? Kind of like having a swiss ball to sit on.
Good luck.

I gotta bike!
I'm glad and encouraged that bike riding will be good for my prolapse.
My stationery bike broke some years ago, and I'm going to get a new one.
Plus, I'll ride the stationery bike more at the gym.

Thanks for that information Christine, it's great to know, I'll get our rusty old exercise bike out of the shed (safer for vulnerable spines than the real thing). Any tips on how to avoid saddle-soreness (seriously, even 20 mins on the bike used to have me walking like John Wayne). Glad that you're enjoying it so much, sounds lovely. cheers, Judith

Most important question for Christine:
Did you get a helmet? We NEED your good brain!!!!!
As I tell my kids, "put on your brain-cage and be safe".

saddle soreness
Just keep on riding! The muscles that are getting sore will sooner or later get used to it.

I haven't been too bothered by saddle soreness and even surprised at how my thighs have held up. My arms, however, are another story - yikes!!! The muscle soreness kept me awake one night last week. You'll crack up when you see my bike seat in the video - it has a hole in the middle of it! ;)
We all always wear helmets, RJ - although trying to get dgd talked back into hers after a stop at the park is a bit of a thrash. She just loves to argue with her grandma. In fact, in the bike store we got into an argument over how old she is. Someone asked her age and I responded that she is 2. She looked at me with furrowed brow and said "I fee". You're 2, darling. "No, I fee!" No, I replied, you're 2 years old. "I FEE years old, Gamma!" Tears were starting to well up - hers from frustration and mine from hilarity - so I said "oookay" and left it at that. :)

Hey Christine, that's great. A picture tells a thousand words. I like the seat. Could you find out from the bike shop what it is called? I also like the long neck on the handlebars. My handlebars are too low and too far forward. I am sure that with a longer neck, less-male seat and new handlebars I could make mine work much more comfortably.
Cheers

About the hole in the bike seat
What is the theary behind the bike seat? Wouldn't it make your rectocele or prolapse worse? ...Seeing there is a hole in the seat. Can you please explain how that would help. I love riding my bike but I have stoped. I have a 12 speed bike. I also love golf but I find it hard just to walk in the mall to do some shopping. I get a very heavy feeling in the stomach. I just started with the fire breathing and the exercise. Hopefully in a few weeks I will be able to do all these wonderful things I use to enjoy. I am getting an ultra sound done on July 3rd. To find out the extent of my problem I have been told I have a retocele. I have been working on my posture and doing gardening for now to enjoy my summer this far. I really miss the more active things I use to do.
Thanks for any info...

the bike seat
Hi Crystalbalou,
Sorry your post got misplaced for a few days. I don’t think the hole in the seat acts like sitting on a donut, since it’s relatively small in comparison to the saddle around it. We do have a slightly protruding vulva so the hole just kind of makes room for that, although it isn’t so big as to cause downward pressure on the organs. It really is very comfortable and I’m already up to ten mile rides.
Hope this answered your question.

Thanks for the visual aid for a visual learner. I tried riding in posture last night with my bike, but it was pretty challenging. Maybe time for a new bike. Do you have recommendations on a brand or where to shop for bikes that best support the posture?
